The pros are an amazing beach and great staff. Unfortunately, the cons outweigh the pros. If you get a room near an elevator, make sure to move it, the elevators are very outdated and loud. Also, only one elevator worked in each bank, so it could take up to 15 minutes to get one. For the high price we paid, our room was unremarkable. It was considered a two room “apar**ent”. The room was really a standard room and an efficiency just put together. One room had two queens, the other two fulls.
The grounds are choppy and hard to navigate. We had to walk through an old ballroom to access stairs that was just sad looking. The pools are very small and the seating is extremely limited. Some amenities are only available at the “sister” resort, but there is really no easy way to get there. You can only access via the beach or the street.
The beach is beautiful, I’m sure the view is amazing if you have the water view. We did not. Our view was an old play area that was just old looking.
Watch for a daily “resort” fee that is really not worth it.
I wanted to like this resort, but I just can’t recommend.

This place desperately needs a make over. Most of the elevators were inoperable for example. It’s become the proverbial pig with lipstick and you see through that very quickly.

Elevators out the entire time. Had to beg to have room cleaned. Charged daily for it being a resort which is a joke. Part of resort amenity was cabana at beach only for two we had 3 so had to pay for another beach chair. Waited and waited asked several times for it finally got one circa 1970 beach chair no pad like cabana chairs had very uncomfortable. The so called resort amenities were such a joke. They should refund me the 260.00 fee. I will never stay there again.

The rooms are very dated but it was clean. Lots to do. Super slide, lots of pools, zip line, great beach, pairasaling, beach cabanas, etc etc etc. Plenty of restaurants and bars.

I gave one additional star because the amenities, while dated, were nice for our 3 year old. However, we were in a room on the 5th floor and the elevators stopped working. This was not ideal but manageable. Next the toilet in our bathroom stopped working. We asked for a refund and the hotel refunded our money for the nights that we decided not to stay. They were not friendly or understanding when we voiced our concerns. It was not very good customer service so we will not be going back.

Staying on the 3rd floor both elevators we’re out of service, had to climb up and down the stair the entire trip, boyfriend is disabled. It was very difficult. Zip line was down, slide on beach was down, paddle boats were down. Closet door fell off the hinges. Front door lock fell off to turn the deadbolt to lock. Shutter for window was broke off and just leaning against the wall. And still had to pay the amenities fee!!!

Our toilet overflowed after using it the first time. Staff came and plunged the toilet, but housekeeping never showed up to clean the bathroom. Found someone's spray bottle under one of the beds. Resort fees were required, despite the fact that the weather did not allow us to use any of the facilities and perks we had paid for. Was approached by a staff member trying to recruit us for a time share presentation. Dude, I just wanted to relax.
