La Maison Aux Bonsais

This was a most delightful place to stay and the very best accommodation we've ever experienced in all our travels. This is no five star hotel. It's a lot better, especially for people who are looking for a local flavor with personal attention, charm, and all the amenities you could ask for. Luc, the proprietor, and his son, Michael, are two of the nicest hosts we've ever met. They both made us feel at home. They are very special people, the kind you just want to know and befriend. There are two rooms you can reserve in this historic building, one on the ground floor and the other above. Both are modernized with updated facilities without spoiling the character, spacious, clean and well adorned with objets d'art, so much in keeping with this artsy village. We had the ground floor room for four days. I only wish I had stayed longer. he apar**ent had two rooms - a bedroom and a sitting room, along with a bathroom with shower and a kitchen with a good sized refrigerator and cabinets well stocked with food and wine. Yes, wine!!! Windows offer amazing views of the surrounding beauty, and they open for fresh air if you want. We had freshly baked, delicious croissants delivered to our room daily by 8 am. The rooms are well lit, the shower is excellent, the bedding is very comfortable, everything is clean and Luc is always available if you ever need something. It is just perfection! Honestly, my wife and I both agreed that this is the nicest place we've ever stayed in anywhere.

Excellent place to stay. We had a 'self-catering' apar**ent at La Maison aux Bonsais. The sign on the door says 'Guest House'. The owner Luc (and his son Michael) were very welcoming. When we arrived the fridge and pantry were well provided, basically giving us breakfast for our five day stay (with a short walk to the nearby boulangerie). The house is within a walled ancient village. There is parking available for guests and residents of the village. The owner's son met us at the security gate to the village and guided us to the house. Streets are very narrow so a small car is better. All was good with our stay here.

We had an absolutely delightful stay here. We wanted our kids to have the experience of staying within the walls of a medieval castle instead of a typical place and we loved it. I am recommending this place to all my friends. The first surprise was how modern the bathroom was, nicer than any of the bathrooms in the hotels we stayed at the rest of our trip. The proprietor, Luc, could not have been more accommodating - he was great. If you like the experience of wandering the narrow, winding streets of a medieval village, this is the place!

Fantastic stay, we loved St Paul de Vence and will one day return. Our apar**ent had everything we needed and more, very grateful for the little extras. Bed was very comfortable and shower great. The best location but even better than best are the father and son hosts. The apar**ent itself is gorgeous with delights of old historic charms with modern facilities and loads of freebies in the kitchen. Artsy things abound. Just open your door and you have the views only St Paul de Vance can offer.

Charming hosts, great architecture, beautiful interior design, THE BATHTUB !, walking access to a myriad of super locations. Comfortable and easy living by any standard.

La maison aux bonsais est un lieu d'exception. Cette suite est magnifique, très bien aménagée, avec un goût du détail, et beaucoup de finesse. Le frigo est rempli de tout ce qui est nécessaire, et plus..., et complété lorsque c'est nécessaire.
