A comfortable lakeside oasis with friendly staff. The gourmet restaurant is a destination in itself, but hotel is also a great point of departure for hiking and beach life. The spa offers a serene atmosphere, and the bar terrace is the place to be for cocktails at sunset. Highly recommended for a romantic get-away. We stayed in a Charme room with balcony and partial lake view. The only minor irritant was that breakfast was not included in the room price, and egg dishes came with additional price tags. Surely unnecessary for a hotel at this level.

Amazing stay. Very attentive staff. Amazing food. The property is beautiful with a beautiful view of the lake. Upon arrival we are greeted with staffs prepared with our keys and welcome drinks. At check out they even prepared a small package of water and snacks for the road. 10/10 highly recommended.

Excellent overall, nice quiet hotel on the lake. Room 23 overlook is wonderful and the service was complete without being intrusive. My wife was able to make a last minute spa appt to allow us to leave mid morning gif Florence. Excellent half way stop Paris to Milan or Florence.

Superb lakeside location, first class accomodation with highly professional and very personalised and charming service, with two excellent restaurants (ESPECIALLY their 2-star Jean Sulpice gastronomic restaurant) and well equipped Spa 👍

We went there on our 40th wedding anniversary. So beautiful location the staff, the hotel scenery exceptionally excellent. We had our dinner at the Michelin star hotel restaurant and we were so lucky to meet the chef. The location on the lake breakfast time so beautiful

As others have said, this hotel is idyllic. Secreted at the bottom of a windy road, right on the shores of the lake you feel as if you have the whole lake to yourself. The staff fall over themselves to help from the moment you arrive. We had a beautiful junior suit with a balcony overlooking the lake, comfortable bed and seating area and a big beam sticking out in the middle of the room! Structural I would imagine and we managed to avoid cracking our heads on it during our stay. We ate on the first night in the bar, which has a beautiful setting and a good light menu. It also has a tome sized wine list. A very knowledgeable and friendly young man helped us find the perfect wine. We ate at 1903 on our second night- see seperate review. Any thoughts of going anywhere evaporated the next day when we sat down on the very comfortable chairs at the lake’s edge under the shade of a tree. We sat from 10.30 till 3.30, intermittently ordering coffee, a light lunch and an afternoon panache, reading our books and admiring the stunning scenery. A perfect day followed by a perfect meal at 1903. We ordered room service breakfast before we left the next morning and that was perfect too.

Beautiful views, quiet, warm, and welcoming. If you are hoping for a historic and grandiose facade, beige silk drapes, and ceilings by Simon Vouet, this is not your hotel. It is understated perfection - clean-lined and stylish in muted blues chosen to enhance expansive views of one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. The service stands alone in excellence with staff that were attentive, unobtrusive, and deft. We were lucky to eat at the gastronomic restaurant twice. The menus showcase ingredients locally sourced or from the chef's garden, and I especially enjoyed the sensitive and complex interplay of beautifully displayed vegetables and subtle sauces. The waiters executed the service choreography with exquisite perfection. It was a gustatory and theatrical experience I will always remember, only slightly marred by meeting the chef on his post-meal rounds with his palpable ennui. But now I can say I have been snarled at by the best. A highly recommended experience.

From the moment we drove through the gates of the hotel, the staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable. A very relaxing ambience throughout the hotel. Wonderfully comfortable room and we can't wait to come back.

My family and I arrived at Auberge du Père Bise on Sun, 7th Aug 2022-Tue, 9th Aug 2022. The valet brought our bags to our room and reception showed us arond. Our rooms had a big balcony with beautiful views and table and chairs, The beds were very comfy and the bathrooms had a very nice walk in shower. That night we had dinner at 1903, the service was very good and the food, even better. When we got back to our rooms my room had a disgusting sewage scent in our room so i opened the windows and eventually the stench dissipated.The next day we had breakfast at the hotels restaurant and were disappointed with the eggs and the buffet selection that morning, there hotel grounds seemed to be a haven for wasps and they went on our food and eventually stung me. Later we swam and paddle boarded on the lake, the views were stunning. We went to the spa and swam and relaxed with beautiful panoramic views of the lake. Then we went on a boat tour of lake annecy, It was surprising what they could squish into 1 hour but the tour was very enjoyable and informative, later we had dinner at Jean Sulpice. My family and I disliked the food there profusely, but i must admit that style of food was just not our favourite, and that everyone else in the restaurant seemed to enjoy it. Overall I had a very enjoyable stay in this fabulous location on the shores of Lake Annecy.
