We paid extra for breakfast and they didn’t collect any. Anyone could eat! The the last day one waitress was hit and miss with people coming in and charging some. If she left the front then anyone could help themselves.
The hot tub and the pool was beautiful but freezing cold! No one could use them. And there wasn’t any notice given.
Also the hotel smelled horrible two nights with a strong sulfur odor.
The rooms weren’t fully made up. I got clean towels at 5:00 at night but the room was never remade.

AVOID this hotel. When we visited this hotel was practically a construction site. It’s being renovated and there is construction everywhere. The fitness center was filled with debris and you can see scaffolding in the lobby. Our room was definitely not ready for prime time. We had water leaking from the ceiling in the shower. And the bathroom door was broken so we got locked out and had to have the front desk jimmy it open. Doors don’t shut correctly and there is an unfinished quality.. The location is close to the historic district but the pictures don’t show that the hotel is behind a non descript building with broken down cars. So curb appeal was not what we expected. The bed was comfortable though. Glad we only stayed for one night. If this was our hotel for our entire vacation I would have walked out.

If we only were made aware, along with everyone else, that they were having major renovations. No restaurant, no bar, no fitness center... A real let down for my husband's final night of his birthday getaway. And apparently this has been going on for quite a while now seeing many other reviews. This is a sneaky bad practice.

Likely the worst sounds proofing I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. I could clearly hear the conversation in the adjoining room through the connecting door. This was not a case of especially loud neighbors (multiple people over several days). This was conversations held at a normal level that sounded like they were in the room with me. Stupid outlets you can’t plug in more than one thing into unless it just has a straight cord. Fancy electric blinds that didn’t work. No breakfast. Broken back door that allows anyone to walk in any time of day. The hotel is under significant renovation, though my room appeared to have been renovated already so I don’t expect all of the above to change. It wasn’t an awful stay but I’ll definitely stay elsewhere the next time I come through.

Clean and spacious rooms., comfy beds. Just wish they would've told me their entire downstairs, except reception area, being renovated before I booked it at regular price. Felt a little less than honest. I had to ask that before booking? It's bad business. For that I would not return.

No way I can evaluate this hotel as there was no lobby, computer , men's restroom, fitness center, all being renovated. No restaurant, nothing. The room was partially refreshed and was large, quiet, clean and comfortable but still had the outdated furniture. Nice pool, but not heated and cold wet weather was not conducive to enjoy. Hot tub looked nice as well. The exceptional thing about this hotel is Helene who is a one woman show, unflappable, super friendly and was very helpful to me during my stay. I enjoyed chatting with her very much and she is a huge asset to this hotel. I hope I get the chance to see what the hotel looks like when all the work is complete.

Rude lady on the desk. Never been treated so poorly at check in. Beds were broken and extremely noisy just laying on them. Surprise parking fee. Under construction. Not a single good thing to say about this hotel. They are relying only on the fact that they are in a interesting historic town. We will never be back. Warning to all travelers to avoid this hotel.

The 4 stars is a rating looking forward beyond the renovation: Pros: Good location close to Old Town and you can catch a shuttle to the trolley right at the hotel Delightful staff Rooms will be nice once completed Outdoor pool is lovely Our room was clean and large (double queen suite). Cons: $18 parking (1/2 off for IHG members). The parking should be free Currently the restaurant is closed and the mid-week “breakfast” available had no protein available. We will stay here again when in town.
