Overall a recommendable place, but please note the ground floor intercom which I had to keep pressing to reach for reception.

Pas très bien indiqué à l’extérieur si on arrive lorsque le gardien n’est plus là mais l’hôtel est très confortable. Le petit déjeuner nous a été offert tous les matins. Le personnel est très agréable. 15 min à pied du Colisée, 30 min de la Fontaine de trévi et à 5 min de la gare

This room is not a hotel as advertised on ***********. It’s a selection of tiny rooms in a building in a very grubby area. The road noise level and paper thin walls to other rooms, was such that we didn’t get much sleep and the tiny space made it so only 1 could open a suitcase. Whilst the room was clean the rate of $350au did no way reflect what was on offer. Having stayed in a similar style of accommodation only 3 weeks before just a short distance away, I feel validated in giving this review. At our previous accommodation at vimmile hill, the roads were quiet, the rooms a comfortable size and the rates were far less in a much cleaner area, sadly they were booked out and we took this place instead. I can’t recommend this accommodation as it’s a very budget style stop at high prices in a bad area. It was not the place we even booked but having arrived at that address we were then contacted via email, to walk to another address. The room was smaller than what we booked but we were told these rooms were the same. This accommodation Actually spoilt our last few days in Rome. I would like to note however the cleaning staff were lovely as was the gentleman attending our checkin. Management needs to lift their standards.

The rooms are very small. Also the bathroom is very narrow. It looks different in the pictures. For breakfast, there is only yogurt, coffee (tea) and one croissant, which is hung on the door of the room in the morning. You have to eat breakfast in the room where you sleep and there is no separate space for it. Once we were not served breakfast at all. The location is nit good. The nearby subway is not working and is closed (you cannot use it).

I will start by saying the room was good and the cleaning and breakfast staff were good. The office and particularly the inability to answer their telephone was very frustrating. We arrived at 4PM on a Thursday and there was no signage at the front of the building to indicate that the hotel was there. When we finally got directions to the 3rd floor, the reception was locked and no one answered the door bell. No one answered the telephone on the reservation either. Finally a staff member arrived with a bag of food and let us in. He informed us we were 'upgraded' to another building and walked us over a block or two. The hotel 'Marta Inn' was clearly just an old apartment made into three hotel rooms with a shared kitchen. This was adequate and we largely enjoyed our room. The bed was firm, the air conditioning cold, but the hot water never exceeded luke-warm. We booked airport transfer for our departure, we confirmed this at check-in. We were told the transport company had our details (phone and flight) and would contact us to organize pick up. At 0700 on day of departure, Monday, we had no contact from a transport company. We tried calling reception and got 'this phone is off or out of range'. We tried all three phone numbers provided. We downloaded Whatsapp and texted on the Whatsapp number supplied. We got no response or feedback. Finally the staff arrived that delivered breakfast and was able to reach his colleagues. Apparently the staff that normally organized transfers was on vacation the previous week, so she finally told us to get a taxi, they wouldn't be able to organize our pick-up in time to make our flight.

The property was hidden away on a side street. The room was clean and in decent condition. There were some marks to the head board. The private bathroom for our room was along the hall as opposed to being en suite was the only thing which stopped this from being a 5 star review. The whole staff are very good and responsive. I would recommend it to my friends, as location is great: 15 minute walk to collosseum, trevi fountain is about similar, pantheon a bit further like 30 minutes.

Great staff Clean and quiet Breakfast could be better …

È la seconda volta che soggiorniamo in questa struttura......una garanzia! La nostra camera per noi perfetta, calda, pulita, accogliente, dotata di ogni comfort, prezzo super ottimo soprattutto per tutto quello che offrono, colazione in camera : abbiamo trovato in frigo 2 yogurt ed una coca cola, 2 bottiglie di acqua, bollitore, the di varie tipologie, caffè solubile, 2 capsule monodose di latte, zucchero, una macchinetta per caffè espresso con varie cialde, 2 biscottini, e infine, la mattina la gentilissima Signora Teresa, ti lascia alla porta della camera 2 cornetti freschi..... che si viole di più!!!! In bagno kit cortesia fornitissimo, asciugacapelli molto potente (cosa rara!) TV, armadio ampio con cassaforte. Unico appunto : le camere sono poco insonorizzate, anche se non si sente alcun rumore dall'esterno perché la nostra dava nel cortile interno, si sentono gli altri ospiti della struttura soprattutto se poco educati e rispettosi! La posizione ottima : a pochi minuti a piedi dalla stazione Termini e Santa Maria Maggiore. Sia la ragazza del check in ( purtroppo non ci ricordiamo il nome) che la signora Teresa, sono persone estremamente deliziose e gentili, abbiamo potuto lasciare i bagagli per poi ritirarli prima della nostra partenza..... servizio comodissimo! Abbiamo scoperto che hanno altre strutture simili nella stessa zona..... se non trovate posto qui.... chiedete a loro, vi troveranno di sicuro un alloggio adatto alle vostre esigenze! Naturalmente, noi consigliamo di soggiornare in questa struttura senza alcun dubbio!! Grazie.... a presto!
