This is a rough place to stay. It is old, outdated, dusty, cold, and has the hardest beds I’ve ever encountered. Like sleeping on a giant boulder. Let’s start with the good: it is right across the street from the Coliseum. It is in a cool LBGTQ area with some great places to eat. We saw a Lady GaGa cover band concert in the street right in front of the hotel. They were really good too. Lastly, I was able to order a taxi to take us to the airport the next morning at the front desk..for a reasonable price. Now the not so good: I mentioned some things above that were bad. We also had a “view” of a very rundown area with trash and sheds, with our window located right above the “smoking” area for employees. They also have a strange policy of leaving the key with the front desk whenever you leave the room. The reason they gave was that if I lost the key, strangers would have the key to our room. But the front desk people are also strangers, so…maybe just let me keep my key? Also, we had a room off the street and could still hear the bar noise downstairs. It wasn’t bad for us, but I can imagine up front rooms suffered. It stopped at around 1 am. It was a Thursday. So, bottom line, find somewhere else. You can do better. I stayed in a lovely Airbandb across town that was fantastic. I paid less for it, too.
