Seven Suites

We only had one day in Rome, this worked well for us. Quiet, modern room with coffee and pastry breakfast at Cafe Linari next door. The neighborhood is lovely, a couple blocks from Piazza Testaccio where you can enjoy an aperitivo at a bar around the perimeter or on a bench in the piazza. We ate at Piatto Romano (their menu changes daily). About 30 minutes walk to Colosseum. About 17 minutes walk to train station Roma Ostiense which goes to FCO

Took my daughter just after New Year. The room very good, the breakfast wonderful but what makes this place a step above is the staff especially Monica I believe this was a name we had a problem, not with the hotel and Monica stepped up and made the situation so much easier for us. Thank you. See you again next year

I loved the neighborhood vibe away from the congested tourists areas, with easy access to the metro. Resturants,Cafe, park and a corner market right there. And the wonderful Testaccio market with street food,meats,breads, produce and soo much more only a few blocks away! The only improvement on the suite would be to add a microwave 😀 The suite did have a mini frige full of drinks and snacks at very reasonable prices!

I was suprised that this is in an apar**ent building but once inside the 7suites it was just lovely. I loved the neighborhood the parks the resurants cafes/bars. a short walk to the metro and 4 quick stops to termini station.

Just returned from a 5 night stay at Seven Suites on our first visit to Rome. Chosen after extensive research for well priced accommodation within striking distance of the tourist hotspots and with good transport links we hit absolute gold in choosing Seven Suites. The room - I booked in January '23 and on booking requested a balcony room, we were allocated room 7 and it was fantastic. Well proportioned room and en suite with lovely balcony overlooking the busy street. The balcony had comfortable furniture on it and a light for when sitting out in the evening. King sized bed (firm mattress) plenty of room around the bed, kettle and mugs with tea & coffee. Mini bar with chargeable items - we requested this was emptied so that we could use the fridge for beer/milk/water, this was no problem and the items were removed. Spacious bathroom with overhead and handheld shower, plenty of towels, hand soap and shower gel provided. Air conditioned room which was most welcomed as it has been an extremely hot week for September! Only 2 observations - this room would benefit from a chest of drawers. Bring your own hairdryer if you have space, the hairdryer is an old style hotel hairdryer that overheats and cuts out regularly. The Reception - we arrived after the manned desk hours, 08.30 -12.30, this was no issue as detailed arrival information had been emailed to me. We had an issue with the safe and also wanted the mini bar emptied, communicated via email outside manned reception hours, and requests were responded to via email and phone call. Late check out also requested (11am instead of 10am) which was accommodated. Very helpful reception staff. The breakfast - vouchers are provided for breakfast in the cafe downstairs and this is an excellent, truly authentic experience. Just stand back and observe the locals for a minute or two and you will soon know what to do. You have a drink and 2 food items on the voucher, a couple of mornings we ate a pastry and took a pizzeta (small pizza) with us for later in the day (useful on the days we had with a very early start) The orange juice is freshly squeezed and the pastries vary each day and are also all freshly prepared. Lots of other cakes and treats are available and I highly recommend the gelato (a small/piccolo was the most generous serving I had all week and was just €2.50) The Location - quite frankly the location was excellent, right in the middle of a local community with excellent bus links into the heart of Rome's attractions (we used google maps and Citymapper app) one bus stop is 2 minutes walk by the park and the other is 4 minutes walk. We were usually around 15-20 minutes from our destination other than Vatican City which was around 40 Facilities in the area include a cash point, a mini supermarket on the corner of the street, a couple of cafe/bakeries, the Mercato Testiccio 4 mins walk and some fabulous food options (where the locals eat) right on the door step. Seven Suites was tucked just far enough away from the bustling heart of Rome to be relatively calm while still being convenient to a host of great restaurants nearby. Tourist sites and transit were still accessible by foot (or a very short cab ride). The staff was friendly and the room was clean and quiet. The bundled breakfast was a particular highlight, including a selection of beverages and super tasty pastries from the Linari pasticceria downstairs (the food was so good that we actually ended up visiting almost daily for dessert or snacks on our own). Would definitely stay again!

We chose this hotel as it states on their website “…soundproofed windows and walls to guarantee our guests privacy and silence”. A bold claim that I can assure you is absolutely not true. Local residents live above, and you can even hear them walking, let alone anything more than that, which is much louder. Reception is manned 8.30-12.30. Durning this time, the 2 receptionists would speak, mostly loudly, and we could hear all from our “soundproofed room”. We could also hear the cleaners, naturally. When I consulted reception on our first morning, I was greeted with hostility and denial. I explained the situation, asking for a resolution (room change or partial refund). I was told “there is nothing they could do”. It gets worse. I wrote an email. And wow. What a rude, abrupt, in denial response (would ‘Seven Suites’ give me permission to add the email?). To quote a few lines: - “…the rooms are all soundproof, including our windows, just as it says on the site…”. I note that when I quizzed them in person soon after receiving this email, I asked if they thought I was lying. She nodded her head. I wish I was joking. I suggested that perhaps she spends a night in one of the rooms. - “The reception opens at 08.30 every morning and being a very simple paperwork no noise is produced since the receptionists work on the computer in silence, which is why your complaint has no foundation.”. Again, factually incorrect. They spoke many times, constantly waking us up. Same with the cleaners, which we wouldn’t have a problem with normally, but we were “guaranteed” silence in our room. - “We are certainly not responsible for the fact that other guests can make noise in the evening.” When reception is only manned for 4 hours, where there are loud people etc, there is no one to complain to and seek that they stop. Again, no problem if the room is “soundproofed” and “silent”. I note the WI-FI didn’t work on the second day. We had to buy a sim. I also note the room itself was tidy and clean. Just don’t expect a quiet room (quite the contrary, it is very loud) or any sort of solution solving from the staff. I’d book elsewhere!

Terrible customer service. To the point that the staff were abusive and non responsive. The place is supposed to be soundproofed but didn’t get a wink of sleep due to the craziness allowed by guests at this place. Avoid at all costs.

The outside of the building and street appearance do not do justice to the hotel. It was new, beautiful, and really comfortable. Don’t judge a book by its cover!
