De standaard kamers zijn erg krap die zou ik niet meer boeken. Wij vroegen naar een grotere kamer en die kregen wij ook zonder problemen. Al het personeel is super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ook als je wil parkeren in de straat. Let op anders is het betaald parkeren op een terrein verder op. Old town is op loopafstand 2 min. Naar strand lopen is 8-10 min. Genoeg barretjes en eettentjes in de straat. Locatie en personeel zijn echt een 10. Niet wezen zwemmen want het was te koud maar zwembad is kleiner dan het lijkt op de foto’s. Hotel is heel mooi ingericht is te zien dat het net is gerenoveerd.

La chambre est correct mais son plus , et malheureusement le climatiseur faisait trop de bruit et on ne pouvait pas trop augmenter la température, ce qui fait qu’on avait très froid le soir et si on l’éteignait on avait très chaud ..
Gros manque de choix lors du petit déjeuner..
En résumé le rapport qualité/prix n’est pas top

Jo-an Palace was the perfect place to stay, within minutes from the bustling local town with hundreds of shops and a short walk from the beach. The room was made up beautifully and they set dinner for us in our rooms for when we arrived as our plane landed rather late. We ended every night at the bar with a few glasses of wine and I cannot thank the staff enough for being so kind to us, Chrissy especially was very welcoming and chatty. The pool is on the roof with beautiful views over the city. Breakfast and Dinner came with a vast array of options and a coffee machine which we were very grateful for! The only issue we had was the lift did get stuck for a couple minutes which did worry us a bit but eventually the doors did open!! There’s always bound to be something after all. Thank you to everyone at Jo-an palace for making our first trip abroad so wonderful.

Beautiful looking hotel recently refurbished. It is in a built up area no scenic views from your room. There is a roof top swimming pool with bar and loungers where there is scenic views. Room clean and fresh really appreciate the AC which is quite. Large fridge and safe in a cupboard. Towel and bath robes have clearly passed their use by date. Fraying edges on towels and holes in bath robes. Food breakfast, lunch and dinner is buffet style. although there is variety, hot food is warm. Tea coffee warm. I would suggest not to book all inclusive. There are lots of eateries within walking distance from the hotel where you can have authentic Cretan food and pizza etc. Directly opposite the entrance to the hotel across the road, there is a mini supermarket. (closed on Sunday's ). Staff friendly and accommodating. A few snags with my room ie bathroom door scraping on the floor making a loud noise when open/shutting, maintenance man fixed it within a couple of hours. 🤗 Website says kettle and tea/coffee facilities in room. That is not the case you have to request it when you arrive at the hotel. A lovely hotel to stay in. I would recommend and visit again.

Service: excellent, staff were so great, great communication and attentive to our needs, they packed up breakfast since we had to leave very early
I booked a family room expecting comfortable beds for 4 people, I ended up sleeping on this horrible mattress that has this disgusting stain, I’m in so much pain this morning!
Also there is no lock on your doors, anyone can just come in if they want to, felt very unsafe especially that were on the roof top ( which sounds great but it’s not) and a bar was above us I assume cause we heard people talking and walking above us

The hotel is well positioned, near the old town, a 15 minute walk to the beach wasn't a problem for us. The rooms have enough space for a couple, it was clean and we got everything we needed. The food was good with diversity everyday, fresh and cookies and fruits too. Many thanks to Mrs. Eva from reception and Mrs. Maria from dinning hall, really great personal. We enjoyed our stay.

AMAZING!!! This hotel is 10/10 for couples to stay!!! Very close to the city centre (10 min walk) and all the bars and restaurants but far out enough to have some peace and quiet. We arrived from the airport at around 11pm and they left sandwiches and crisps in our room (very nice gesture). The time from chania airport is 2.15 hours on a shared transfer. (Splash the cash and pay for a private one lol) The room we had was very spacious and ideal for our 4 night stay. The house keeping cleaned every day and gave us fresh towels and made our bed. comfy bed and pillows and we loved our little balcony for drinks before we headed out for dinner. We hired quad bikes for $80 for 24 hours which was really good! We saw a lot of the area on this and even managed to take it to Baja Beach club! (would recommend) We also hired a car for $45 for the day and visited Bali Beach where we found a nice beach club called Baboo beach! Would definitely recommend this place :) On the last night of our stay my Fiancee proposed to me on the rooftop of the hotel with the background of the city in the view. He arranged this all with the reception and they closed off the rooftop and bar for us for the hour. This was definitely amazing and we want to thank the hotel for being so cooperative! Will definitely be returning on our anniversary! Thankyou to all the amazing staff :)

We popped in for a drink before dinner and ordered two aperol spritz from a very grumpy waiter. Nice drink, bad service. The bar felt unwelcoming and uncomfortable. A small additional point, although the bar snacks are free, it’s helpful not to include one or two unshelled pistachios in a bowl of salted nuts! It’s an unwelcome surprise!

We loved staying at this hotel . Firstly it is a 5 minute walk into the old town which is really handy. Secondly the staff are so friendly and helpful especially the reception staff. We really liked the refurbished rooms and the simplicity of them . The pool area and the views from it are great . Whilst we couldn’t park around the street near the hotel ( it was busy) there was a public car park next door that you can park in except on a Thursday as it’s market day. If you ask the kiosk people in the car park they will give you a daily ticket for 5 Euros rather than an hourly one which would be expensive . We will definitely return.
