This is almost a hidden gem close to Kolkata. Property is esthetically restored with comfortable and luxurious rooms. Has variety of facilities and activities available. Food is exceptional with traditional Bengali food plus Indian and continental options. Evenings there is a decent cultural program with dance and songs. What stands out is service. Staff is very polite and courteous, they don't say no to any reasonable request, that is rare in Bengal. Only down side is unavailability of WiFi. Kids also complained about No TV, but that's a good thing perhaps. Overall this has been an awesome experience.

Relaxing experience in an ambience of opulence and excellent service. Recommended space if you are looking to spending quality time with your travel group with instagrammable backdrops. Pet friendly with large property for walking. The staff are warm and caring, and will do their best to take care of you.

We had a delightful stay at Raj Bari Bawali. The property exudes authenticity with its rustic old-world charm and lush greenery in abundance. The ambiance truly transports you back in time, making for a unique and memorable experience. One of the highlights of our stay was the enchanting evening Aarti and the captivating music programs. These events added a magical touch to our evenings and were a true delight. A special mention to our stay manager, Jayanta Das, who was incredibly hospitable and ensured that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. His warm and attentive service made us feel right at home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Raj Bari Bawali for a weekend getaway. We are already planning to return soon with a bigger group to share this wonderful experience with more friends and family.

Ambience, food, staff service; everything was excellent and made for an enjoyable stay. The calming atmosphere of rural bengal coupled with the British-era inspired rooms make for a memorable stay. The food, especially the native Bengali thalis both, the fish as well as non-veg thalis were delectable. This place has some of the best any hotel has to offer. One might even say it rivals the food served in 5 star hotels, but thats just me :). Saurabh who was one of the main hosts helped us become even more comfortably and explained to us the various services the hotel had to offer, thank you!

Excellent Property with very hospitable people. Excellent ambiance and beautiful scenery within the hotel. Very well selected cultural programs and good food. Nibedita was especially helpful during our stay and Donna was very helpful at the front desk. All in all, a truly beautiful stay

Pleasant experience in the Rajbari barring one incident... We stayed in the Royal Suite, which was elegant, classy and tastefully made up....finer details were taken care of...suttle plays marked thoughtful hospitality... We even had our personal Butler, Avishek, who was knowledgeable and courteous... About the property, well maintained, elegant property with a resort feeling.... U feel like the good old Taj properties.....the restaurants serve great food...we tried kababs and chinese, both were gr8.... Now, about the slip....at 1.30am in the night ny daughter woke up with a millipede in her bed...we are nature lovers...so we were not overwhelmed....but in such resort properties, regular pest control is recommended... All in all...a great property to spend a night or two...you will enjoy the pampering and the hospitality...

One of my best one day trips that fulfilled my heart's desire. Traditional welcome , heritage building, rooms giving feeling of old days.. the piano room .. the court.. very active room service.. delicious dishes served .. pottery made culinary..A real heritage of bengal zamindari tradition.

The Rajbari and its staff shine in splendor. Service is personal, personable, and management and staff are ready to go above and beyond…and always with a smile and a ‘Namaskar’. We stayed in ‘Zamindar’ rooms and the appointments were second to none! The Bari is also a foodie paradise. The Rajbari’s splendor really comes alive after dusk when it takes on a magical effect with lights and pageantry including the ‘Sandhya Arati’ followed by spectacular cultural performances by local talent. The ‘dhaki’ during ‘Sandhya Aroti’ is simply superb…it is difficult to believe that a single drum and drummer can emanate such resonance that echos up, down, and sends shivers down in religious fervor and passion. We loved the Rajbari and its people. They made us feel like we were a part of their family. I highly recommend it.
