Secrets Tides Punta Cana - Adults Only

Beautiful resort and amazing beach! Staff was great and our butler, Raynier was awesome! Food was good, we’ve had better but wasn’t a deal breaker!

My wife and I have been to many Luxury Caribbean All-Inclusive Resorts including other Secrets Resorts. This one however really stood out in a wonderful way. A simple way to know that this place was special was in the staff training. While we were there for 9 nights any time we had said thank you for any service big or small rendered, the response was always "its my pleasure". We definitely want to extend a specific heartfelt thank you to Jorge, our butler, who was just terrific and helped to take care of whatever needed attention to during our stay. He will be missed! We gave Jorge some suggestions to share with their management to make a few improvements none of which were ground shaking. We would say if you go to this resort and Jorge is available as butler ask for him! Since the hotel has been open for 5 months now I think one could say they are beyond a "soft opening". On a 1 to 10 I would rank the food an 8 out of 10 which was very good with 7 nice choices for restaurants. The resort was never crowded while we were there. Our stay in the "preferred junior suite with swim out" also was excellent. The beach and facilities were great. This resort is adults only and from the demographics we saw it was best targeted for an older audience. It is not big on onsite activities. But, if you want peace, quiet, great service and facilities you can't go wrong here. 5 stars for sure!

Just got back from our first (but definitely not last) trip to Secrets Tides. The resort is beautiful and brand new. Food was great! We were in a preferred ocean front swim out room and it was gorgeous! A couple of people that we need to do a shout out to: 1) Juan (smaller stature) bartender at the preferred pool. Super friendly and an excellent bartender. His drinks were our favorites!! Always had a smile and was ready to make you whatever you wanted! 2) Juliana, waitress at preferred pool. She could not have been any friendlier or more accommodating. ALWAYS smiling and superb service. Never was with an empty drink. Julianna was definitely our “stand out employee” at Tides! That girl needs to be recognized and be the standard for all servers. We made several friends at the pool and she was more than happy to fill our many shots orders! She is just an amazing employee and person! ❤️❤️ 3) Orquidea, another waitress at the preferred pool. She was always around making sure we had drinks and would always remember our special requests. Very friendly and super accommodating! 4) Edwin, server at El Patio (Mexican restaurant). A gentleman and could not have been any sweeter or on his game. We loved the Mexican restaurant (went there three times) and Edwin just took that experience to another level. Edwin needs to be recognized for going above and beyond to the guests. Wonderful person!!! Thanks for the corn cake room delivery! ❤️ 5) Jose, our butler. He was very friendly and checked in with us every day. We didn’t need a lot of “extras” from him but whenever I did request something he made it happen. Thank you Jose! We will be back to see you!! 😄 Overall a wonderful resort. All the employees were friendly and attentive but those listed above took service to an entirely new level. We loved every minute of our trip and we will 100% be back again!!

Our butler and family, Jorge, is AMAZING!! He is the reason why we came to tides! We know Jorge from our many visits to secrets cap Cana. Jorge is the best butler we have ever had and he is now our family! He cares for us like we are his family and it was so wonderful to see him! Jorge should be the one to train all staff as he knows how to make the visitors feel special. Thank you Jorge for another amazing trip…you are wonderful and we can’t wait to see you again soon!

I think the title says it all definitely a "Vacation to remember". Where do I even begin, decided to upgrade to preferred club which gave me access to more amenities then I can even imagine. Check in was a personalized experience giving us access to the best parts of the resort and the best part of it all was our butler Anthony that went above and beyond from arrival to departure and everything in-between. From as simple as needing more hangers in the room, to creating a romantic in room experience for my girlfriend and I. Didn't know I needed a Butler till this trip, going forward its a Butler or nothing in the future. Have been to many resorts in my life but from top shelf liquors included in the preferred club (and I mean real top shelf) to some of the best food I have had on a trip in a while. For simple on the go snacks in between restaurants turn overs, Coco cafe was the go to. 24-hour access to desserts, coffee and snacks always readily available. Didn't have a chance to try the steak house but Market cafe had one of the best skirt steaks hands down. Right next door was El patio which is a definite go to for an amazing Mexican food experience. Even during the day Market cafe buffet or Oceana plated food was terrific. Can't believe I almost forgot but room service was also epic the night we decided to stay in after the romantic night together (all I'm going to say is in room hot tub). As you may know the resort recently opened so I had no complaints regarding design, pool leisure, an amazing beach, and a staff that make you feel like family. Overall hands down will definitely be back, I hope our Butler is ready for round two repeat.

We traveled to Secrets Tides from May 20th-25th with another couple, our daughter, and their two girls. This was our third time to Punta Cana and it was definitely our favorite trip so far. Highlights: The food was amazing! I don’t think we ever had a bad meal. LOVED breakfast at the Market Cafe each morning and lunch at the Barefoot Grill. Ate at several of the restaurants during the week. The skirt steak at Tierra was amazing! Loved the surf and turf at Oceana as well. All the restaurants had great food and excellent service. The staff were super friendly. We LOVED our two entertainment guys….Yan Carlos and Milky Way! Very personable and always keeping the party a**osphere going The evening entertainment was really good. We got to see a Madonna show, a Tina Turner show, and a cool Rock show! Room accommodations were beautiful. Double rain head showers, in room safe, stocked refrigerator, comfortable king bed, and plenty of closet space. The room lights are automated and take a bit of getting used to. Tip, we figured out the overhead fan can be adjusted for speed, but you must stand on the bed to turn the knob manually. This resort is new and definitely feels new. We were told by one of the staff that the resort was only at 34% capacity when we were there. Never a line for anything and no problem getting a table for dinner (even with 7 in our party). I’m sure as this resort becomes more well known this will quickly change, but for now it was fantastic. I have a hard time finding anything negative to say about this resort. We commented (as others have) that the language barrier was a little challenging at times, but nothing Google Translate couldn’t handle. Because it was only at 34% capacity, the pace was very slow. Some who just want to relax will love that, others may find it a bit boring. You can always go to Secrets Breathless next door if you want more of a party vibe. We made some wonderful new friends at the pool. Overall this was an amazing vacation experience and we will definitely come back again.

I recently stayed at Secrets Tides and I cannot speak highly enough of the entertainment team at this hotel. BomBon, Oscar Lyn, Louis, Milky Way, Jose, Myra, and Theresa went above and beyond to ensure that we all had a fantastic time during our stay. In fact, if it wasn't for the entertainment team I probably wouldn't return to this hotel again. While the hotel itself is beautiful, they really need to work on the music they play during the day (not only did they rarely play any Spanish music but they also played the music so low that you could barely hear it). The guests around us complained about this as well. The entertainment team definitely made up for the boring a**osphere. Their energy and charisma were infectious. Our Spanish lessons with BomBon were the best! We really appreciated the personalized attention and genuine care shown by each member of the team. They took the time to interact with us, make us feel welcome, and ensured that we were having a great time. Their hard work and dedication certainly made my stay memorable and enjoyable. The best entertainment team by far!

Outstanding customer service from Gilbert (our butler), Cesar (UVC rep) and Cristy and Alberto (Preferred Club Lounge bartenders). Accommodations were excellent. Preferred Club amenities, pool, bars and breakfast worth it. Food above average. As you might expect, a couple places still need some training.
