We came for the on-site wine… and stayed because we forgot how to walk in a straight line after the second bottle. 🍷 Albergo La Vigna is a peaceful little paradise perched above the sea, surrounded by grapevines that whisper “just one more glass” every time you walk past. The staff were so welcoming we briefly considered offering them joint custody of our entire family. The wine? Bold, local, and dangerously drinkable. €16 for a bottle that pairs well with everything: sunsets, laughter, and questionable holiday decisions. I could image if you stayed in the rooms as we only came for the wine you’d wake up to birdsong and the faint sound of grapes judging you for your previous nights choices. 10/10 would return — and possibly harvest next time. Thanks for a lush stay!

Not sure I want to recommend this place as I’d like to keep it as our little secret. Calm and serene with beautiful views and a warm welcome from the superb team - perfect in every way. A little piece of heaven just 20 minutes from the thriving pulse of Naples.

WORST customer service EVER! We made a reservation at the last moment. We found out within a few minutes that the hotel was only accessible by ferry. Having an early morning flight out the next day, we immediately called to cancel our reservation (as we would have missed our flight to Dublin), only to be told by the receptionist she couldn't speak English & to send an email. I sent FIVE emails & NEVER got a response. I called multiple times. Their website states "no refunds". After explaining to their manager what happened, I was treated rudely & indignantly. I understand had a LOT of time gone by, but we tried in good faith to cancel. We are out over $200, & for what???

We loved the unique setting and grounds of this hotel. All the beautiful flowers and gardens. The pool area was lovely and we actually skipped a day of site seeing to spend the time by the pool enjoying the good drink and food. Easy walking distance to Corricella and to the main port. Breakfast was decent. Very cake based but this is what we found everywhere. We would take our trays up and sit outside. Helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommended for somewhere with real character.

My wife and I have been to Italy many times; Procida is right there near the top in places to visit and stay for an extended break. La Vigna is the perfect place to do it. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. The hotel is set back near Piazza die Martiri --- the Piazza made famous in the movie Il Postino and talented Mr. Ripley. From the hotel it's a five minute walk to the piazza or 10 to 15 minute walk to either of the two marinas where there are more restaurants and bars. The views from the pool area are magnificent, food and drinks are served pool side at a good quality and fair price. The rooms are very clean and quiet. Best restaurants in Procida --- (1) La Lampara. Good food and the best views of the marina. The tables outside, where most sit, have just amazing views. Great pasta, seafood and wine. (2) Pizzeria in Piazza die Martini. Im sorry we can't remember the name of the restaurant but its really the only one in the piazza. You sit beside the church as the choir sings while you overlook the bay of Naples. The food -- very simple but ohh so good. Must try are the lemon cod and the gnocchi with peppers and eggplant. The pizza is also very good. A half litre of their house wine runs about 5 euros and everyone drinks it. If you get lucky and you are eating during a service at the church, you will listen to choir. Its magical. (3) Down by the port where you grab a cab, the English translation of the restaurant is Up and Down. Amazing place --- try the octopus in any way they serve it. Very nice presentation of food and atmosphere, its also very close to a great gelato place! Two nice places to buy some really local art/crafts from the area are Studio D'Arte and Stella Marina. Studio D'Arte is owned and operated by a female artist for thirty years. She sells mostly her creations -- sculptures and jewelry. Very reasonable prices for some nice work and memories unique to Procida. The other is Stella Marina. This is owned and operated by a family that creates handmade wooden models of the fishing boats in the marina. They run anywhere from 15-25-50 euro. They are very nice and if you have a memory wall of photos and art from your past travels a must stop. Both of these shops you will pass on your way down from the hotel if you are going to the marina where la lamprey is located -- studio d'arte is tucked in a little side exit to the marina. Last but not least head to Postino beach. where they filmed Il Postino and I believe the Talented Mr. Riply --- its about $15 euro cab from the hotel. (Note its a fifteen euro ride everywhere it seems. We only used the cab to the beach and to get to hotel because of the bags --- the cab will charge you an extra euro per bag. Take the cab! Every thing is up hill in Procida, but don't worry it helps work off dinner and gelato! heck my wife and I ate like king/queen and we lost weight on the trip! Now that's living. We spent four wonderful days at Albergo La Vigna and we could not have chosen a better base for our first exploration of this enchanting island. Excellent service, a large, gracious garden, vineyard and pool, views of Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples, all within walking distance of the main port, Corricella, and the castle. The owners and staff were extremely helpful. The spa provides excellent service. We feel like we were among friends, and we are eager to go back.
