Hotel Julian

Superbe accueil, nous qui ne connaissons pas la ville, nous avons été très bien guidé par la réception sur les restaurants et lieux de visite. Pour l'hôtel, très bonne literie, calme, SPA privatif possible.

We visited Prague at the end of April 2024. We stayed for three days at the Hotel Julian in the city. This Hotel was a real find. The hotel is attractive, good value for money, and the rooms are comfortable, well-appointed, and spacious. Bathroom toiletries are provided, and we had slippers and fluffy bath robes in our room. The staff are really friendly and helpful and there is no trouble conversing in English. The hotel provides breakfast though it does not have a restaurant for evening meals. However, this was fine for us and there are various restaurants near the hotel. The breakfast selection was excellent and as good as anything we have found in other hotels. Hot food was available as well as cold collations. Different sorts of bread, pastries, cereals, various fruits, yoghurts, fruit juices, tea and coffee were all provided. Breakfast could be eaten in the breakfast room itself, which is an attractive room, or taken a few steps across the hall to the library room which is also a very pleasant setting. One could also take one’s breakfast selection up to the roof terrace which I will say more about in a minute. Also included, free of charge, is afternoon tea on the roof terrace. Tea and coffee are available as well as a selection of pastries. The hotel is conveniently located in the city and although it is on a main road, it was very quiet. It was very close to the river and conveniently situated for using the tram services in the city and also the city bus tours. A particular attraction was that the hotel could arrange collection from the airport and transfer to the hotel. It was reassuring to have the hotel arrange this for us. Similarly, when we left Prague, we needed to get to the main bus station. The hotel staff were again very helpful in organising a taxi for that trip and confirming to us in advance how much it would cost. The transfer from the airport to the hotel was €35 and the transfer from the hotel to the main bus station was €17. We were able to pay the driver in euros and did not need to use Czech Koruna. The roof terrace was for us the outstanding feature of this hotel. We had great views across the cityscape and it was lovely to be able to sit up there with our drinks and relax. In fact, you can collect breakfast from the breakfast room and then take it on a tray which the hotel provides up to the roof terrace and enjoy your breakfast there. At other times of the day you could have your lunch or evening meal on the roof terrace if you purchased it from a nearby supermarket or fast food outlet. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to visitors to Prague, and will certainly stay here on our next visit.

On arrival the hotel looks very grand and beautiful. Peter on the front desk was more than helpful and welcoming and the welcome drink was very welcome. The room was lovely and spacious and really thought out. The breakfast on day one was ok, the breakfast room is a little cramped and they didn’t seem to replenish the food regularly. Day 2 was even worse, hardly anything to eat at all and as someone who is dairy intolerant it was a nigh**are! However don’t be put off as Prague and the hotel are both wonderful. Little tapas round the corner is also lush x

We stayed as a family of 3 at the beginning of April. Had booked a deluxe room which was absolutely stunning. My son had crutches and a wheelchair while we were here and the staff were all so helpful. The location is fantastic, within walking distance (even with a wheelchair) to most of the local sights. Roof top was lovely and my husband and I escaped from the room a few times and had a few drinks while admiring the view. Breakfast was a bit odd but as a family we don't really eat much in the mornings so didn't bother us. The staff are wonderful and provided us with great customer service. We would definitely return to this hotel.

As a family we stayed for 3 nights in mid-December. Communication for the booking was always prompt and we used the hotel airport transfer service and that was very good. We arrived at the hotel early so were able to store our bags until check in later. First impressions were welcoming and the lobby matched the images and was very elegant. The rooms were spacious and clean and always hot water for the shower. There was a good selection for breakfast that made a good start to the day. There were some nice walks close by to the river and a further walk to get into the main part of the city but it was easy to use the nearby tram around the corner. We used the trams a lot to visit the various sites we went to. Overall a super place to stay, the staff were very friendly and helpful and if we make a return visit to Prague we'd definitely stay at Hotel Julian again

Great location and very nice staff of the whole hotel. Especially the front office with all helpful tips about moving around the Prague. Beautiful rooms, well equipped , chic lux design and great quality to the price range. The best of all is that I felt like home, and definitely will come back. It will be my 'home base ' whenever in Prague. My biggest recommendation!!!

I can't emphasize enough how great our stay at Hotel Julian was. We were greeted by Marcella who offered us a drink on arrival and explained the best way to pay in Prague and pointed out the main things to see around the hotel. The room was cosy and clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the airconditioning allowed us to cool off after walking around in the city for the entire day. Breakfast was basic but sufficient, and we could take it up to the rooftop terrace, which was quiet and had a nice view. Location in Malá Strana couldn't be better. The hotel is right next to a tramline which will take you from and to the airport, and pretty much anywhere in the city. We recommend crossing Legion Bridge (better view than the famous Charles Bridge and not crowded with tourists) and walking as much as you can, though! Everyone is very kind an helpful, and we would definitely come back here.
