Very nice Premier Inn, plus beds were great, bathroom was lovely. We used the meal deal and the food was one of the best we have had at any Premier Inn in the UK. Lovely staff, very helpful. In a safe location with an nice walk into the town centre.
Great location, not much parking but the sell permits for £5. I was in the house around the corner from the hotel. Stairs were a bit creaky and it was the most soundproof.
When in Portsmouth, drop an anchor at Premier Inn Portsmouth City Centre to explore this seafaring city without a hitch. We're close to the Portsmouth & Southsea train station, roughly a 15-minute walk from the ferry port, and close to the University of Portsmouth. Wander down the Portsmouth Harbour then head up Spinnaker Tower for panoramic views of the city and sea, or go to the Historic Dockyard to experience the incredible maritime past . Indulge in some retail therapy at Cascades Shopping Centre or Gunwharf Quays and then return to a tasty meal at The Kitchen and relax in our new generation bedroom featuring an impressive 40" flat screen TV, bright modern bathroom with a large shower head and slumber-inducing, king-size Hypnos bed .

This hotel is looking tired and not looked after. We were on the 5th floor and it didn’t look like the foyer outside the lifts had been cleaned for some time. The bedroom had that foisty smell about it although it was clean. Always annoying when you book a double room for 2 people and have 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel left, no phone in the room so you have to trail back down to reception. Then find you have 1 teabag, again plenty available at reception but you have to trail back down again. The plus points were the staff, they were all very friendly and helpful, no complaints whatsoever. The breakfast was plentiful and good value. The reduced parking rate for the carpark was very good. We would stay again as it is very convenient but would lower our expectations for the room.
Feels like I’m staying in a nightclub. I’m in a room above the gym and there is a constant buzz and thump. I’ve spoken to reception and politely asked them to turn the music down, but 30 minutes later it’s still thumping away. Gym closes at 10pm so will have to wait until then! Couldn’t be less comfortable and relaxing. So disappointed in customer service too.
It was very friendly , clean and very helpful.
I can’t believe they still wanted me to park for the car park after booking in for over 3 weeks .
The service and breakfast was excellent
