My friend and I stayed in twin room. Waa very impressed with the service given and the room itself was perfect for us staying over for one night for a Chris**as get together in Portsmouth. We would definitely recommend and go back again to stay. Using this app, was quick and easy I shall be using again in the near future. Thank you :)

Hotel great value. Staff very friendly and accommodating but needs more staff behind bar as food orders are also taken there and waiting time for drinks are to long as food orders were taking priority over bar customers other wise very polite and friendly.

Only one problem was having to walk in and out of hotel past a fog created by smokers why people have to stand in the access areas to smoke is beyond me. Otherwise a very pleasant stay.

The room had everything I needed, but it was all rather tired. The heater didn't work, the towel rail didn't work, so I spent the first night freezing cold until they brought me a portable heater.
The shower was a fixed height over-bath type and the controls were virtually seized up, making it hard to turn on and off. The attached pub was good with a varied menu, but I spent little time there as I needed to be in central Portsmouth.
It is a short walk to the waterfront in one direction and a large retail park in the other, so I couldn't understand why the council had no bus routes through the area. I had left my car at home (up north) and travelled down by train, only to find the nearest bus route to the hotel was a 0.8 mile walk inland. Obviously not the hotel's fault, but you would think the Ocean Retail Park would have petitioned the council? That alone would make me pay a few extra pounds to stay nearer the city next time.

Excellent food and service, had issue with room heaters but given another heater, staff very helpful, overall, decor is a little tired, and cleaning needs attention
