The Blue Bamboo Hotel - Duna Parque Group

Ubicación y limpieza excelentes. Difícil aparcar cerca del hotel.

Not what you expect from a Portuguese hotel. Cracked tiles, a shower curtain where a door should be, pictures fixed at odd angles, and a cool welcome. Disappointing.

Great location for walkers, and close to good restaurants, and the river for swims. Clean and comfortable. Friendly reception team. Good breakfast. Also a nice touch is the complimentary water and juice - very useful for thristy walkers.

Ideally situated for exploring the small town and only a 2 minutes stroll to the River estuary. Rooms are basically furnished but clean and perfectly adequate. Hotel facilities are limited but the breakfast buffet was first class with hot and cold options. A perfect stopover for those walking the fisherman's trail.

Had to check in at another property and not told beforehand. Only staff on property was a single cleaning lady.

The Blue Bamboo is a very friendly, simple little place that does the essentials well. It is easy to find and although there is no on site parking we were able to unload right outside and then park just down the street. The hotel is perfectly clean and there is good choice at the buffet breakfast (including an intriguing pancake machine...) One thing to consider - we had a room at the front and while the road it overlooks was mostly quiet there were a few noisy revellers to break the silence.

The person receiving me welcomed me back with a great smile, as she recognized me from an earlier trip. A warm welcome and a pleasure to be here.

…in occasione del mio trekking sul Fischerman’s Trail!!…ho passato una settimana in questo Hotel “The Blue Bamboo” a Vila Nova de Milfontes!!…per cui pernottamento e prima colazione!!…poi ero fuori tutto il giorno!!…la struttura si trova in una zona tranquilla!!…ma in due passi ci si ritrova subito nel bellissimo centro storico!!…e anche vicino alla spiaggia!!…la mia stanza era ordinata e pulita!!…sono stata dispiaciuta perché un giorno ho lasciato un sacchetto intero di patatine e al mio ritorno me ne sono trovate soltanto la metà!!…e la cosa mi ha infastidita!!…per il resto il buffet della colazione era nella media!!…non mancava nulla!!…dolce e salato!!…con possibilità di farsi la spremuta!!…era sempre disponibile l’acqua e delle bevande dissetanti!!…e questo posso dire che ho apprezzato!!…perchè certe volte non riuscivo ad andare a comperare da bere al market!!…con personale disponibile e gentile!!…sinceramente posso dire che questo Hotel “The Blue Bamboo” a Vila Nova de Milfontes!!…si trova in posizione tranquilla!!…e è una buona sistemazione per che vuole soggiornare in questa zona del Portogallo!!…

contratamos un viaje para un grupo. Nos cobraron 10 euros por el desayuno y solo había una persona atendiendo para todo el grupo. No había loza, la máquina de zumos se paraba cada momento, el café se agotaba... y en el segundo turno ya no había nada que desayunar. Contratamos también el lunch para llevar que incluía una botella de agua, una pieza de fruta y un bocadillo. 4,50 euros. El bocadillo era un pan pequeño y de consistencia gomosa con UNA sola loncha transparente de queso, pavo o jamón según los días. Las habitaciones estaban muy húmedas y la escasez de personal era la tónica general. Los baños estrechos y con necesidad de una buena reforma. Apenas había espacio donde dejar la ropa y los objetos personales. Por aportar alguna nota positiva, el poco personal que había super amable y la situacion del hotel muy cercana al mar y en una calle muy tranquila.
