We had an amazing experience here. The staff and service were excellent. Can’t fault this place at all. The Chalet we had was very clean and had beautiful views of the landscape. The food was tasty and vast amounts of it. The evening shows every other night were really good around the fire. Just want to shout out to Wes our ranger. He made the Safari what it was. His knowledge was exceptional and he went out his way to make sure we were comfortable. He was amazing at following tracks to find the various animals we wanted to see. He turned up to collect us on the drives on time also.

It was an absolute great experience. The gigantic animal area was good maintained without being artificial. We have seen lots of animals. Our guide (Margoux) was really kind and hat so much knowledge about animals, plants and everything. It was absolutely worth it.

A fantastic lush safari experience. Our family enjoyed every minute of the 4 days we spent her. Recommend 2 nights and river lodge though all lodges are beautiful. We had strict dietary requirements which were accommodated well. The rooms are gorgeous.

We had the very best of times and would certainly recommend this fantastic place to anyone who is visiting the Eastern Cape and looking to spend a few days exploring the Kareiga Game Reserve. It was brilliant 😊

Our visit to Kariega was part of a milestone birthday celebration after already spending 4.5 months traveling. We stayed at the River Lodge and it was a perfect balance of activities (safari, boat ride) and down time to relax (massage, reading by the pool). Would definitely return again.

This was our 1st Safari and will not now be our last. The Whole Kariega experience was simply fantastic. The staff, guides, room (River Lodge), food and service were out of this world. Particular praise to our guide Forest (Matt) who when out of his way to find all the animals and was so knowledgeable. Well done to all at Kariega

We had an amazing stay. Every staff member is super friendly. Food and drinks were excellent. Our guide was super enthusiastic and friendly. We will come back.

Wow! Everything about this trip was amazing. The accommodation is first rate, I thought when it said Main Lodge you'd be staying in rooms next to one another, but thankfully I was wrong. You have your own apartments (minus a kitchen - which isn't needed). You have stunning views from all angles, even when in the shower you can get lost in the scenery. The food was great, with lots of choices on offer throughout the day. The staff are extremely friendly and will do anything they can to assist you. The Safari:- Crumbs - it was breath-taking, you get quite close to the animals at some points without disturbing them, our guide was extremely knowledgeable and very sympathetic to the animals needs and wants. Hopefully some of my pictures will give you an idea of how magnificent it is.

Had an excellent Safari holiday at Settlers Drift. Very knowledgeable guide on the drives, animals sighted exceeded expectations including lions and cheetahs. Accommodation very good with views of the plain. Staff very friendly and helpful
