I read summer great reviews of this place and it did not disappoint. There are small trails on the property. Stunt get excited, they are small but you are not next to another building! The pool is nice but not heated. If you are from the NE US, you are used to it. Or was refreshing especially after being in the sun for a bit. The hotel is nicely kept but more of a local style which I prefer more than the standard hotel room. The room is beautiful and the bed is comfy. You can't go wrong here. Many people I met do the same thing, spend the last night in Costa Rica before flying out. Very secure, not much near, but the best ends to your pura vida vacation.

Property was nice, smaller than it seemed on website (trails are very short). A little loud from nearby highway noise, but overall very pleasant stay.

Perfect place to start or end your Costa Rica journey. Really charming property, tastefully decorated with a terrific pool area and good birding possible around the trails and grounds. Staff were helpful and efficient and the food and drinks were good quality and very reasonably priced.

Our stay at Villa San Ignacio was relaxing and enjoyable. The site is beautiful and the staff is incredibly accommodating and friendly. They helped us make plans and made everything easy and fun. The pool is lovely and our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We would definitely return.

A tropical oasis convenient to SJO!
The property was lovely and I really enjoyed exploring the trails in the morning. The restaurant and bar were exquisite. Our room was very spacious and the bed was the most comfortable one for the whole trip!
Only criticisms: The bathroom was a little awkward with the small door in the corner (but water pressure was great!) and the small console table that held the glass water pitcher was very wobbly! My husband tried one of the handles and discovered it didn’t actually have drawers, luckily nothing fell :)

What a wonderful property with warm and accommodating staff. spent a quick 1-night stay here as it is close to SJO and was pleasantly surprised by the gorgeous grounds, pool, hiking trails nearby and a full spa within walking distance. Amazing layover option for sure!
