The room was excellent! Very clean, with a great view.. Excellent location, close to shops and dining. The staff was very accommodating at the location. The only drawback was trying to contact the location prior to the stay. Aside from that overall a great place to stay and would definitely recommend it and would stay there again
Front desk staff was pleasant. Breakfast crew was fabulous and very nice as well. I am a diamond member and stay at a lot of HI, this is one of the best. Close to Tarpon and location to other attractions. We saw a comedy show while we stayed over night.
Pphonea6c210a05a82018My husband and I spent an absolutely wonderful three day weekend at the Meranova Inn a few days ago. It was to celebrate his 80th birthday. We stayed in the KeyWest Room and found it met all our needs and more. The king size bed was superbly comfortable with ample pillows, we had a full kitchen with snacks and Keurig machine with coffee pods and tea and sugars and creamers all there, and the bathroom was spotless with toiletries and fluffy towels and two comfy cotton bathrobes at our disposal. Two TVs--one in the bedroom and one in the living room-- had good reception. The pool was right outside our door. The town is lovely, and has a designated bike trail right through the middle of town, so one could ride a bike safely out of traffic's way. Each room as its own unique character, so check out the website and see the rooms before you decide in which one you want to stay. We had breakfast right next door at the Wild Iris restaurant--so convenient. We also had dinner at AlFresco and found the meals and service very good. That, too, was within walking distance. We are Floridians, yet, this mini-getaway to Dunedin was a great way to celebrate, and we are pleased we did. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
ผผู้เข้าพักGreat stay, even better than expected! We checked in here after a nightmare cruise and came to see the atl vs. tpa baseball game. The location was perfect for the game and the hotel exceeded all expectations. EMILY was amazing and let us drop off our bags early and even called us directly to let us know out room was ready a little early for check in, just like we requested! We couldn't have asked for a better experience all because of her. She checked in us with ease and was extremely friendly and nice to speak with. The rooms were extremely clean - even offered multiple packs of wipes! The beds were very very comfortable, sheets felt great and clean. The bathroom was stocked and large! A highlight was a ledge in the shower allowing us to store our items on it, which NEVER happens at a hotel (Things always end up having to be placed on the floor because there is usually one little corner shelf). We had four grown adults in the rooms and it never felt crowded once! The internet was easy to access and very fast, the elevators felt safe and were clean, the lounge and lobby were very spacious as well. Can't say enough good things about this hotel as a Marriott Gold Elite member. Would absolutely stay here again (hopefully with Emily again at the check in desk!).
ZZach SThe ONLY reason I gave two stars was because of the people. FDA Ronda was great, both at my initial check in and when I needed to switch rooms. The breakfast attendant was also very friendly and welcoming. As for the rest of the stay, I cannot understand how this hotel got so many positive reviews. I initially checked in on the app and stopped by the front desk upon my arrival close to 9:00 pm to grab a snack. Ronda was very friendly and welcoming and seems to really enjoy her job. However, as soon as I opened the door to room 317, I noticed a strong urine smell. Once I got into the room, I noticed it was pretty beat up and could use a coat of paint. Also, the door to the connecting room was open a couple of inches, only being held in place by the safety latch; the deadbolt was broken and would not lock, so the door wouldn't remain closed. Anyone in the room next door could have peeked in and saw me (I feel sorry for them as I'm not a handsome man). Back to the smell, which I though was maybe coming from the bathroom but I couldn't find the source. Anyway, I went back down to the front desk where Ronda put me in a new room. The new room, room 323, was a studio suite and a good size, but like the other one, it was pretty beat up. The furniture was old, the walls needed a coat of paint yet the trim areas had been painted so much they looked terrible. One of the towels had a hair in it as did the bathtub. Just an overall unpleasant experience. Breakfast was on par with other Hampton Inns, which is fine for a free breakfast. Like I said, I don't know how this hotel got such good ratings for being so beat up. Except for Ronda, this hotel is a mess.
EEmilyWhile researching hotels, I visited this property a month before my arrival to make sure the accommodation would work for my purposes. At that time, I was shown a specific layout for the 1 bedroom queen beds configuration. The front desk attendant specified the description of the room that I should book when I made the reservation.
I made the reservation based on their information and the room I was shown.
A month later when I check in, I am given a room half the size of the one I was shown. I tell the front desk that it was not what I was told and I am unhappy with the room and I need the bigger room. The gas let me and told me that they had already given me the biggest room they had. I'm not kidding when it was literally half the size of the one I previewed.
I walked the front desk attendance to the door of the room I was shown and was assured that those rooms are the same size and they couldn't be shown to me at that time because they were occupied.
I had to cancel most of the event I had planned due to lack of space and lost revenue I would have earned giving a workshop to paying pupils.
Complete bait and switch. Avoid this property.
AAshley CThis customer service is very sub par and it feels like they intentionally neglect to mention the valet fee of $35 per vehicle to park at the hotel, we have two vehicles. We called prior to making our reservation to ask about security deposits and additional fees and spoke with Brandy, who stated that she was the manager. She explained that there was a deposit fee but never mentioned that valet parking was the only option for the hotel. When we arrived we could not find the hotel parking, besides valet, so we called again and that is when Brandy stated that valet parking is the only option at the hotel. She asked her why she did not just state that the FIRST time we called and she very condescendingly stated “it’s downtown, you’re going to pay for parking most places”. She further explained additional parking options. Only one of the options would be without cost but only for 2 hours between a particular time frame. This experience was very frustrating because we both travel often for work and pleasure, and are from Atlanta, so we are very aware of parking fees in downtown areas and downtown hotels. It is the blatant withholding of the parking cost when asked initially about additional fees that is so frustrating and such a disappointment, because we were very excited to explore the area while we are here visiting.
