We enjoyed everything about this historic hotel: the room, the lobby chock full of art and references to its speak-easy past, the pastry shop, the bar, the comfy, covered front porch, the pool and fountains, food and drinks served poolside, the friendly staff, and the friendly guests we met. Also, the Hollander is perfectly located in St. Pete, being in the historic downtown district near my company headquarters and close to great destinations such as the Salvador Dali museum, Chihuly blown-glass gallery, and Morean arts center. I love historic downtowns and boutique hotels such as the Hollander. The rooms in historic hotels are often smaller than ones in chain hotels, but they more than compensate with their unique personalities and intimate atmospheres, which leave me with vivid memories of my stays in these sweet lodgings and the cities they call home.

We really enjoyed it, Will at the front desk was awesome! All the employees were so friendly. Service in the restaurant was great and food was excellent (breakfast). Gi ( not sure if spelled correct), shuttled us to the Rays game and picked us up after game. She was great also! We will definitely be back as we live in Tampa. Spreading our great experience to our family and friends here in Tampa. We will be back!

We loved our stay at the Hollander. The hotel has easy parking and is convenient to everything in St. Pete.

Loved everything about it. Charming, full of character. Staff was excellent. Offers free shuttle service in a 10 block radius. Which is perfect where the hotel is located.
This place is a total hidden gem. Love that

Our stay was very pleasant. We loved the location and the hotel was super cute and cozy. The breakfast at the restaurant was very good, but our waitress didn't seem happy with us because we arrived a couple of minutes before closing. I specifically told the hostess it was ok and we would go elsewhere if it was too late but he said it was just fine. Also, we were never able to have real hot water. It was cold on the days we stayed there and it would have been nice to have hot water. Other than that, it was a very relaxing and nice stay.

Overall was average.....They advertised as a Queen Bed but it was a Full size. Rooms small and bit noisy. Hot water took 5 min to get right temp. We ate at the Tap room for dinner and the food was very average and waiter seemed to rush us....he needed better training for sure. That's it in a nut shell....wont return

Renovations looked very well done throughout, except in the rooms where they went super cheap with some of the finishes. In the morning, house keeping would allow all doors to slam behind them making it difficult to sleep in after night out on town. Bed was a little stiff but that may just be personal preference.

This hotel's employees are super friendly and helpful, aside from one experience at the inside bar. The outside bartender was funny and engaging, however. We were greeted with 3 smiling faces upon check-in. Each time we ate at the restaurant we had a wonderful experience. They accomodated our family who joined us on the last morning there for breakfast. Food came out great (each time we ate there). We had stayed there before, and will stay again in the future. Hollander Hotel is an older boutique hotel that offers a "boho" vibe. It had a new coat of paint in our room and hallways and brand new carpet. Our room still smelled a little musty when we returned to it each time, but that went away when we cranked up our a/c. But that's not uncommon in Florida. The pool area has a newly revamped look with new cabanas and chairs. It was neat and clean looking, even though it was not the "high" swimming season. Location is central to many activities and walking distance to the water and many downtown restaurants and taverns.

Cozy, boutique style hotel. Wonderful lounge decorated for Christmas, free parking, porch and restaurant, bar, very clean rooms, comfy linens. Coffee and great pastry shop. Excellent service. Terrific value.
