North Fork Mountain Inn

Absolutely beautiful place and Janese and Nadia were wonderful hosts! My wife and I were in the area for our grandsons baseball tournament and we were so happy we found this little slice of “almost heaven.” The solitude, peace and quiet was extraordinary! Hiking on the nearby trails is a must as well as exploring Smoke Hole canyon, the caverns and Seneca Rocks. Breakfast everyday was fantastic and the salmon dinner with wine on Sunday night was exceptional! We stayed in one of the towne homes which had everything we needed, was very clean and very comfortable. We truly enjoyed our quiet time sitting in the rocking chairs on the covered porch outside our room. Thank you Janese and Nadia for your hospitality and we will definitely be back to North Fork Mountain Inn! We wish you both great success!

The lodge is so cozy and the views are beautiful! It was a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives. Janese and Nadia made us feel very welcome and we left wishing we had booked a longer stay.

We have stayed at many B & B's across the USA. The North Fork Mountain Inn has become our favorite. As we were looking for a place to stay to view the fall foliage, the North Fork Mountain Inn came across our search path, and we were not disappointed. We stayed in the available Cozy Cabin, which is a short distance from the main Inn, and provided us the quietness, peace and solitude for which we were searching. We chose our breakfast time and each morning took a beautiful walk up to the Inn and were served a delicious breakfast with our choice of meat, eggs, fresh fruit and their special for the day, e.g. waffles and french toast. One evening we chose to dine at the Inn, and once again made the right decision. Nadia prepared braised pork with roasted carrots and polenta. Amazing, mouth watering, and a large portion. As we ate in the main dining area, we were able to visit with the other guests during our meal and while enjoying our coffee/hot tea. The last morning we chose to dine in the den at a small table for two in front of a huge glass window/door that allowed us to take in the breathtaking views of the fall colors and the gorgeous mountains. Janese and Nadia are two young lovely ladies who are the innkeepers. Their personalities are inviting and their love for making their guests feel at home is warm. They proved to be the perfect hosts.

When my girlfriend and I were looking for a weekend getaway from DC, we happened upon the North Fork Mountain Inn, and we can't stop raving about it! The hosts are extremely accommodating and knowledgeable, the view is incredible, and the amenities (pool table, hot tub, etc.) are the perfect extra touch. The whole property had a fantastic rustic-chic feel to it, and the rooms are just what you'd want for a weekend in the mountains. We got lucky and there was a guest chef staying at the inn when we were there. His cooking was fantastic, but I'm sure the regular meals are great, too! The day we arrived, we spent more than an hour just sitting on the front deck and watching dozens of hummingbirds buzz around the bird feeders as we took in the mountain view around us. Later that night we sipped wine as we sat in the hot tub and gazed at the hundreds of stars overhead. Who could ask for anything more??? There are several great hiking trails in the vicinity - thankfully the owners directed us to a shorter one, as we had a pretty tight schedule for our final day. But the view from that trail was incredible, too. We only wished we could have stayed longer to take advantage of some of the other nearby activities, like fly fishing and horseback riding. Can't speak highly enough about this lodge - if you're looking for somewhere to disconnect in nature while still having a comfortable stay, this is the place for you!

We stayed in the Smoke Hole suite. Janese and Nadia had prepared everything for us! There was a hot tub in the room, bathrobes, the comfiest bed and cutest quilt set, and all the amenities you'd expect from a high-end hotel! The place was so welcoming, and there was so much communal space to socialise with the other guests of the inn, including a well-stocked games room, pool table, and rocking chairs on the balcony overlooking the beautiful mountain scenery. The place is secluded from the hustle and bustle of big-city living, incredibly peaceful and homey. Meals (additional charge) were so delicious, but the included breakfast was my favourite! croissant french toast? genius. Being able to order the next day's breakfast on sheets meant that the included breakfast was cooked to order, fresh off the grill, and served exactly how you like it, something so rare amongst other free breakfasts. Most of all, Janese and Nadia were the most friendly and kind hosts. I truly wish success for this bed and breakfast business, as they deserve so much recognition for running the place to the highest of standards.

This is the coziest mountain retreat you'll find. It feels like staying at a good friend's home in the hills, all the more so with super awesome hosts like Janese and Nadia. The rustic wood/strategic kitsch decor lends a warm allure, the game room with a billiards table and board games, the communal dining experience all made for a lovely time.

We were looking for a get away weekend for our anniversary and found just the right place! Tucked away on the side of a WV, mountain the lodge is beautiful and very clean! Our hosts Nadia and Janese, where welcoming and friendly, after a great breakfast they sent us on a hiking trip out the back of the lodge to the top of the mountain ridge with beautiful views. Don’t let the driveway intimidate you as we took our 1976 Corvette Strigray right up without a problem. We look forward to returning to see the improvements these two have planned for the place!!

Driving up the winding roads to the Inn, past the trout streams, and then seeing it through the clearing immediately puts your mind and body into chill mode. The location is just stunning and when you walk inside, there is a feeling of warmth and welcome. My husband and I were passing through for only one night, and were immediately wishing we could stay longer. Janese and Nadia are just wonderful and accommodating and Nadia’s breakfast and dinner was not only delicious but presented beautifully. The beds and pillows were comfy as well. We hope to visit again sooner than later to enjoy different seasons and to take advantage of the amazing beauty and hiking that is all around them.
