We found the staff very helpful when we arrived, they gave us where to go & visit & gave a map,we took their info & had a lovely visit of gardens &saw the famous bridge. We were then advised where to go for a special meal, which was worth the visit ,we are going back to the same hotel with our friend, would recommend it ,breakfast was buffet & plenty of choice, parking is enclosed so no worries
We've just returned from a splendid overnight stay at Molino del Arco. We added a night in Ronda to the end of trip to Estepona as we wanted to visit a local vineyard. We stumbled across this hotel on a search of the area and we were delighted with what we discovered. A beautifully charming 17th century property, stylishly converted from a former olive oil farm. The family still producing olive oil nearby in the region and available to try in the restaurant. The hotel is excellent, a tranquil idyllic spot, fabulous main building and rooms, a superb courtyard and wonderful gardens. All delivers a wonderfully relaxing stay. We ate at the hotel restaurant which was delicious and took a pre-dinner drink on the terrace from the honesty bar. Breakfast was fresh, plentiful and served with a smile. The overwhelming standout feature of this hotel is the staff. Working front of house were Christina and Ismael, they were skilfully attentive and friendly without ever being anywhere near overbearing and despite being there at all hours were constantly smiling. They were a joy as was this hotel. We will return and Christina is already planning a number of activities, day trips, restaurant recommendations and tastings! Bravo and see you soon.
Absolutely amazing stay! The hotel is beautiful and located in the heart of Ronda. Easy to walk to all the main sites and local restaurants. The hotel restaurant is fantastic! The included breakfast was a wonderful treat each morning and the valentines dinner special was the best meal we had in Spain! The staff are so friendly and work very hard to make your stay and dining experiences great. Highly recommend this hotel in Ronda.
I stayed at the Don Miguel hotel in Ronda recently, and I have to say I was disappointed. Despite billing itself as a four-star establishment, it felt more like a two-star accommodation. The rooms were basic, lacking in amenities, and far from the luxurious experience one would expect from a four-star hotel. The restaurant, touted as a highlight, served subpar food at exorbitant prices, making dining there an unpleasant experience. Overall, I wouldn't recommend the Don Miguel hotel for anyone seeking a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Eelim968This is not a «Very good»-rated hotel that you might rate the expensive Hilton, Radisson etc. Actually, outside on the wall you can see that the Colon has one star and booking is very budged friendly in comparison. But don't get fooled by this, read my review and everyone elses reviews. When entering, you are greeted by the lovely Ana in the reception, a very warm and personalized welcome. The reception area is small, but very charming. We got a room in the second floor. The room is spacious enough and you’ve got everything you need. It is very clean and the bed is huge and comfy. The bathroom is made up with a greeting on the mirror and lollipops. Very charming! There is a bath tub and very comfy towels. In the room are a good functioning air con and a fridge which are very useful for us Norwegians. The breakfast is included and you eat in the next door cafe. You get your orange juice, water upon request, coffee, egg and bread brought to your table where there are butter and jam also. While eating, you could get accopanied by locals as this is actually an ordinary cafe. This is very charming. The location is superb and you dont notice traffic outside and are away from the busy tourist streets. Love that! Ana gave us a map and you have all the ”must see” within a short walking distance, under 1 km to the famous bridge and the old town. The park located just across the road is gorgeous and we advice you to walk thru it while going to the sightseeing areas. This is not an industrial hotel, but a charming and family driven hotel with charm. The staff are so, so nice! It has everything you need, including the location. If you arrive by car, the Colon can get you parking for €12 a day. We paid €22 at a public parking nearby for under 24 hours which included a couple of hours free parking during the night.
SSkibumladyConvenient to Ronda sights – disappointing room and breakfast We stayed here 2 nights in what was called an executive double room in mid-April 2024. Hotel is located a few blocks away from the main tourist sights. Quiet area, but a bit unnerving to walk there at night when no one else was around. Room was quite small (the smallest during our month-long visit to Spain) and the bathroom was down several steps. A/C works well but cannot adjust fan speed – it was either on full speed or we had to turn it off. WiFi erratic and worked only part of the time. This is an older hotel, so the door does not automatically lock – be aware. Staff was very helpful. Large bottle of soap and shampoo – nice! Breakfast selection and quality was average to disappointing. Very small breakfast room and we had to specify a time to be in the breakfast room. Coffee was brought to table in a tiny cup (espresso size, even though we asked for a larger cup). Selection of cheeses and meats was good, but the hard boiled eggs ran out and were not replaced. The frittata was similar to a large quiche and was ice cold – it would have been better if it was warm. If you have a rental car, you will need to work with the hotel to drive to the front door to unload (we had to wait for a spot) and reserve a parking spot a few blocks away at a church (hotel gave us a key card and said we had a reserved spot – none of the spaces were reserved and we finally found one after someone left).
They accepted my reservation on trust, just from a telephone call, without any credit card number required. They help find park places, emphasizing the free options. Small but warm room. Comfy mattresses. Ideal location in the center. Surprisingly good breakfast. And really inexpensive.
No repetiremos.
We really didn’t know what to expect when we booked as we found quite affordable price. Then I can say that might be the last hidden gem in Andalusia. Place is just unique, a fancy boutique hotel at a great price , then the people and finally the food. Love place !!
This was my life saver, at very short notice on a Saturday afternoon after having called the hotel directly we were accommodated very efficiently and staff was extremely friendly. We were welcomed as swiftly and helpful also prior to leaving this morning the breakfast and help from staff was the best I’ve had.
