We booked The Langham on the Gold Coast for our honeymoon. It is a nice hotel but I can honestly say it is not worth the over $550 per night we paid. I’ve listed positives and negatives below: Positives: - there was a nice note and small chocolate slice in the room wishing us a lovely honeymoon - Staff are very friendly/welcoming - Ocean view was amazing from the hotel room - facilities - gymnasium was fully equipped with a view of the ocean/beach - Bathtub was lovely - Easy access to the beach Negatives: - There were stains on the sheets. When we arrived I noticed two stains in separate places on the sheets (note: they were dry stains). I went down to reception and they said they’d send housekeeping up to change the sheets. As advised, a woman arrived to change the sheets. Unfortunately, I didn’t check the new sheets and there were stains on those as well. I went back down to reception and they said they’d send a supervisor up again to look at the sheets. Two staff came to the room, apologised and changed the sheets again (this time I checked). The hotel gave us a bottle of wine, some lip balm and pillow spray which was a nice gesture as an apology, however, multiple stained sheets for what is meant to be a 5 star hotel is very disappointing. - The pre-authorisation amount (hold) when checking in is $200 a day, so $1,000 for a 5 night stay. This is ridiculously high. I don’t know why they hold that much considering most hotels, even 5 star hotels I’ve stayed in, hold $100-200 for a stay. On a positive note it did come back into my account straight away at check-out

A totally perfect stay, from the moment of checking in to the day of returning home.  Nice room, nice people, nice restaurants… just everything so great!!

Stayed at the Wyndham in Surfers Paradise for a family weekend away and overall it was a solid choice. As Gold Coast locals we didn’t really need the constant upsell on tours and activities, but I can see how interstate or overseas visitors would find that useful. The location is the real strength here — easy walking distance to Cavill Avenue, directly opposite Q1, and the observation deck nearby was great for the family. Very convenient without needing to constantly drive around Surfers. Our king-sized room was spacious, comfortable and worked well travelling with a young family. The hotel itself felt clean and well maintained. One thing worth noting for visitors is that the Hamilton Street beach entrance is still showing the effects of Cyclone Alfred from 2024, so beach access in that immediate area is not quite back to normal yet. That’s obviously outside the hotel’s control, but useful for travellers planning beach days. Overall, a good stay if you want a central Surfers Paradise base with plenty within walking distance.

Breakfast buffet was really well presented. Waiting in line for toast a little inconvenient - too cramped, by the time the toast arrives, the rest of the breakfast is cold. Food was good. Room was clean and well presented, but bathroom tapware needs attention - they were so tightly closed because they drip constantly otherwise - made it so hard to open (especially for someone with arthritis) Shampoo dispenser did not work - not sure if empty or just faulty. Good location and overall a nice stay.

Had everything you need for a comfy stay, will be back! Would have love to stay longer

เรื่องความสะอาดต้องปรับปรุงอย่างมากเลยค่ะ มีเส้นผมอยู่บนเตียงและในห้องน้ำ แถมพื้นพรมก็มีเศษกระดาษไม่ได้ทำความสะอาดเลย ส่วนเรื่องไม่มีอุปกรณ์แปรงฟันอันนี้เข้าใจได้ค่ะ เพราะโรงแรมในออสเตรเลียทั้งหมดจะไม่มีของใช้ส่วนตัวพวกนี้อยู่แล้ว แต่เรื่องแชมพูกับเจลอาบน้ำในขวดนี่สิคะ ก่อนจองเคยอ่านรีวิวจากนักเดินทางคนอื่น ๆ ว่าเติมของเหลวแบบเดียวกันหมด พอไปเช็คอินเมื่อวานก็จริงตามนั้นเลยค่ะ ยืนยันได้ด้วยตัวเองว่ามันเป็นความจริง นอกจากครีมนวดผมที่เป็นสีขาวแล้ว ที่เหลือก็เป็นของเหลวแบบเดียวกันหมดเลยค่ะ แต่ฉันก็เอาของตัวเองไปเองอยู่แล้วค่ะ แนะนำว่านักเดินทางที่รักความสะอาดควรจะนำไปเองนะคะ มาพูดถึงเรื่องขนาดห้องบ้าง ห้องเล็กมาก ๆ เลยค่ะ ระเบียงก็เล็กด้วย ได้ห้องชั้น 3 ซึ่งไม่สูงเลย ทั้ง ๆ ที่ฉันขอชั้นสูง ๆ ไว้แล้วนะ แต่มันก็ไม่เป็นจริงอย่างที่หวังเลยค่ะ 😪 ทำเลที่ตั้งค่อนข้างดีค่ะ ข้างล่างมีร้านอาหารหลากหลายสไตล์ให้เลือกเยอะเลย มีสระว่ายน้ำและสระสปาอยู่ข้างล่างด้วยค่ะ แต่น้ำในสระสปาไม่ร้อนเลย ส่วนน้ำในสระว่ายน้ำก็เย็น ไม่ใช่น้ำอุ่นค่ะ ห้องที่ได้อยู่ติดถนนข้างนอก เสียงดังมาก ๆ แทบจะไม่ได้นอนทั้งคืนเลยค่ะ เลยรีบเช็คเอาท์แต่เช้า เป็นประสบการณ์ที่ไม่ดีเอาซะเลยค่ะ 👿 เคยพักโรงแรม Oaks ที่ราคาพอ ๆ กันข้าง ๆ ประสบการณ์ดีกว่าเยอะเลยค่ะ แนะนำให้คิดดี ๆ ก่อนเลือกนะคะ!

The apartment is serviced by Wowstay, not the Mantra Hotel. So the key has to be picked up from a lockbox at the base of the hotel and returned to the same lockbox. It’s a very professional and easy process, however I would recommend when dropping the key off to drive your car from the car park to the front of the Mantra Hotel checkin area. Leave your car there as there is no other convenient / close places to park. Then walk up the stairs around the side of the Mantra building to the lockbox area. The apartment I stayed in was on the 21st floor facing the ocean. It has the same layout as the other apartments with a modern bathroom, large sized bath that looks out over the bedroom, out to the ocean. The main bedroom and lounge have floor to ceiling views. It has a large balcony and great views of the coast. It has an extra large flatscreen TV, nice art work, a full kitchen. It also has a very comfortable leather lounge. There is an open study area that is used as an open bedroom for two single beds. The main bedroom has a king size bed. However I did find it unusual that a single pop-up bed had been made with linen in the same main bedroom. ( it was placed between the window and the end the bed, which obscured the view and took up the rest of the space in the bedroom. It looked out of place, it wasn’t necessary) it was easy to fold up, which I did and I placed it in the other area with the two other beds. I suggest you do the same if this happens to you. Or maybe you can request that it’s not used in the apartment? I will next time I stay. The location is great, central to everything. I have stayed at the Mantra through the hotel a few times before, however it was cheaper through Wowstay and it was as nice as the hotel apartments, so I will stay here again when I’m visiting the Surfers Paradise. The extra bonus with booking this via Wowstay, is that a carpark space is included with the booking, however if you book an apartment through the Mantra Hotel, you will be charged an additional fee.

ห้องพักพอใช้ได้ แต่เก็บเสียงได้ไม่ดีเลย ไปถึงโรงแรมตอนเที่ยงกว่าๆ หลังจากเช็คอิน พนักงานบอกว่าห้องยังไม่พร้อม ต้องรอ พอกลับมาโรงแรมประมาณบ่ายสองครึ่งก็ได้คีย์การ์ด ตอนจองระบุว่าห้องวิวทะเลชั้นสูง ระบุชั้น 11-24 แต่ได้ชั้น 11 ซึ่งเป็นการตอบสนองความต้องการขั้นต่ำสุด ทำให้รู้สึกไม่ค่อยดี ตอนที่เข้าพักไม่ใช่ช่วงวันหยุดของควีนส์แลนด์ เลยไม่เชื่อว่าห้องชั้น 12-24 จะเต็มหมดแล้ว แน่นอนว่าฉันไม่ได้ไปที่ฟรอนท์เพื่อขอเปลี่ยนห้อง เพราะพวกเขาไม่ได้ทำผิดสัญญา เพียงแต่รู้สึกไม่ค่อยดีเอามากๆ แถมวิวจากชั้น 11 ก็โดนตึกข้างหน้าบังค่อนข้างเยอะ แทบจะมองไม่เห็นวิวทะเลเลย (ดูรูป)

Beautiful gorgeous apartment. We booked the beachfront view and it was absolutely perfect. Unobstructed view of the ocean + tennis courts. Pool was warm, clean and refreshing. Beautful long walk by the beach to Surfers Paradise. Bus stop a minute away to go anywhere in GC. Service by Luke, the young blonde guy at reception was a 2/5. We were given a room that didn't have a working dishwasher & dryer. Luke didn't even attempt to make any suggestions to help us. We had to return the next day to ask the older lady if we could use another dryer as we had a lot of wet clothes from being at the beach daily and at the pool. Our first day, we loaded the dishwasher and left for town only to come back to a flooded kitchen. We cleaned up without making a fuss. Service needs to be better.

Surfers Beach Holiday Apartments was a great place to stay for our family. The management was helpful. Rooms were of a good size. The location is quiet. It is a easy walk to catch the G:tram. This makes getting to Surfers Paradise or other locations easy. Riding the G is also much cheaper and easier than trying to find parking for the car. While we were there, there were few people using the pool. Our grandkids had a great time... and mostly had the pool to themselves. I didn't realize there wasn't an elevator.(My fault for not checking.) Being on the third floor normally wouldn't have been an issue. Because of health issues for one of our family members, it would have been easier if we had been on a lower floor. If I had contacted the management when booking they said they would have tried to give us a lower floor. It's a great place and I highly recommend it.
