The rooms are advertised as 50 sq meters but they are not even close. Roughly half the size of that (see photos). The hotel is also old and noisy (Doors and windows are thin, we were awoken constantly from inside and outside the hotel). Our room had ants everywhere. We told the front desk, and they didn't care. Also the curtains fell off the wall and they put them back up but we couldn't open them. They said they'd come repair, but never did. Breakfast has a lovely view, but the food was a poor assortment of bad tasting items. Sadly the room has a lovely view of the mountains, but also has a view of trash (see photos). Finally, they have the most annoying policies, asking for deposits for a 2nd keycard to get into your room or for towels. That's right, they will give you the first key card without requiring a deposit. But if you are 2 people and want another, they are worried about you losing it and want a deposit. What happens if I lose the first one? No fee? Trying to explain anything to the front desk people is a waste of time. All nods and smiles but no comprehension. I even asked a supervisor to contact me so I could discuss their policies but of course no one reached out during all the 3 days I was there. On a positive note the place is in the perfect location and the staff is at least friendly. They offer offer free water on each floor. And they provided a free shuttle to and from the airport which was a nice touch. It is for these three things I upped them from one to two stars. You'd be better off staying across the street at their brand new sister property (same owner).

This place is obviously still struggling from the effects of the Covid lockdowns. The staff is the best part of this place. The air conditioner is undersized & has a daylight gap all around it. The room refrigerator is worthless because its electric circuit shuts down when you leave the room. Who wants to come back from a trip & grab a warm drink from the ref? Breakfast buffet is pretty slim. They post signage asking you to conserve water, but they don't even include water saving faucets or shower heads. And then there were the bugs. If I had known that they are offering 'Hourly Rates' I would have avoided this place.

This is supposedly the only 5 star resort in the area which is sad as I think competition might actually inspire them to do better. The place itself is very nice and initial impressions are quite excellent. But the longer we stayed the more we noticed the lack of upkeep in the rooms. The size of the bathroom is big but there is not a single electrical outlet inside so you cannot plug in anything not even the hairdryer. The shower glass door does not close shut and with the very strong water pressure you can be assured of a very wet overflowing floor outside of the shower enclosure. We paid for 2 extra persons in the room which they informed us meant sharing the beds and breakfast inclusive but they don’t automatically provide the extra towels. Even after calling them to request for more towels they still took more than 2 days to give us our extra towels. The water in the pool is quite warm and not refreshing as the heat of the sun kept it quite warm but some of our friends actually liked it that way so it’s more of a personal preference. The drying rack in the balcony is a nice touch as we can dry our swim clothes there. There are also water dispensers in the hallway which is great for refilling the complimentary glass bottles of water provided. Buffet breakfast is included in the room rates but don’t expect anything extraordinary. The Italian restaurant in the resort does not seem to be ready for the tourist influx as food came out ever so slowly and we felt bad for the foreign tourists who don’t complain as much as the locals so we did get our food faster than they did. The resort is expanding so there is construction ongoing which is a positive sign of tourist revival in PP which I’m happy about for them but I wish they would also pay closer attention to the upkeep of the existing rooms.

Nice Hotel, elegant entrance, friendly, professional caring staff throughout, although I think having security guards with guns at the entrance is not so welcoming. The lifts floors Floors are secured by card so not sure why you need these guys Positives Location is central close to restaurants Spacious Well furnished, Rooms with decent WiFi Modern clean bathrooms with Ac Ample parking, good for groups Firm Beds woke up feeling well rested Negative Pool for this size property is to small No close beaches No gardens or relaxing area Small gym Breakfast is 3 out of 10 at best They are trying, but in my opinion need to offer better breakfast options, the egg station is great, but besides that it’s all left overs from dinner. Considering it’s a western hotel offering Philippine options. Most of the guests I saw were from Uk America and Australia.

ผผู้เข้าพักPros and cons. The island was great, we loved our stay at the cottage. But the service was not so good. Pros: - The island was great. Major plus points for the house reef and grass bed that attracts fish and sea turtles. There were birds and the monitor lizards on the island! - The view from our sunrise cottage was great. The rooms were clean and the toiletries complete. - Transport to and from the island went smoothly. - Massage was great! Cons: - We arrived at around 1pm (official check in time is 3pm). The staff told us they would call us when our room was ready. Many groups of arrivals were steadily being escorted to their rooms but not us. At 230pm I went back to the reception and was told our rooms had been ready earlier! But NO ONE let us know. At this point, they gave me the key card but no one made a move to escort us to our rooms and I had to ask if they could give us our luggage so we can go the room already before the receptionist accompanied us. - There is no comfortable place to wait or change clothes while waiting for your room. Basically people are sitting on the pool loungers in their pants/shoes from the airplane. - We signed up for the hike, we were told some one would text us to confirm time and meeting place, NO ONE called. - Basically, any time they tell you they'll call you, NO ONE did. I had to call multiple times and actually go the reception to get any response. - The restaurant was not full yet it was very hard to get the attention of any server. The food also took 30-40 minutes to serve. Kudos to the one lady server who served our lunch everyday for 3 days, she was the only one who helped us. - Used plates/utensils were left on the restaurant tables for a long time. We sat down as the neighboring party left and we were already done, their plates were still sitting on the table (being snacked on by the birds). This happened every meal (and we're slow eaters, at least 45 minutes). - Towels and plates/cups by the pool loungers also not cleared for hours. - Breakfast and dinner buffet were just okay. Nothing to write home about.
ผผู้เข้าพักA real mixed bag here, the location is good and the rooms are large, clean, beds comfortable and the ac works well. The staff are friendly. Those are the positives. The food, breakfast in particular is atrocious for a hotel in this price range the restaurant staff idle about playing on their phones. The rooms were cleaned very late in the day on several occasions. The internet is weak from the rooms.Whilst the front desk staff are friendly they are pretty clueless and on wanting to escalate certain issues I am told that the management are based in Puerto Princessa. With good management and a complete overhaul of the menu and some internet boosters this could be a great hotel.
JJiro YuanI recently had the pleasure of staying at Holiday Suites Palawan, and despite a few minor inconveniences, I am delighted to give it a well-deserved 5-star rating.
Let's start with the positives. The price-point of this hotel is truly commendable, offering exceptional value for money. I found myself in need of a last-minute stay due to a late arrival at the airport, and Holiday Suites Palawan proved to be the perfect solution. The room I secured for a small price exceeded my expectations in terms of comfort and relaxation.
One notable highlight is the hotel's strategic location just outside Robinsons Place Palawan. This convenience allowed me to easily access shopping and dining options without hassle. The proximity to the airport further adds to the hotel's appeal, making it a practical choice for travelers with late arrivals or early departures.
Now, addressing the minor drawbacks. I did notice the absence of a spoon in the room, despite the presence of cutlery and complementary coffee. Additionally, the fridge in the room had a slight issue with closing properly. While these details are worth mentioning, they did not significantly detract from the overall positive experience I had at Holiday Suites Palawan.
In conclusion, Holiday Suites Palawan offers a fantastic balance of affordability, comfort, and convenience. Despite the minor room quirks, the value for money and the hotel's strategic location easily warrant a 5-star rating. I would recommend it to fellow travelers looking for a budget-friendly yet comfortable stay in Palawan.
ผผู้เข้าพักA group of us stayed here the night of arriving in PP before embarking our scuba liveaboard and chose the hotel as it was where the liveaboard company did a town pick up from. Simple accommodation, but clean and functioning. Very spacious rooms - we had 4 girls sharing one room with two double beds. The bathroom/shower was a little tired but I only had one quick shower. A pretty garden surrounding a pool - I didn't end up swimming as it was quite a hot, muggy, grey day and the pool was more warm than refreshing in that moment, but I also only spent about 18 hours total at the hotel so if I was there longer I would definitely have had some pooltime. It was cute watching some local kids have a mermaiding lesson. The restaurant is not set up for large orders so bear that in mind timing wise - it is a one chef kitchen. If you are landing at 7pm or later make sure you request the chef stay if you want dinner on site as they will otherwise leave at 9pm. The chicken & mushroom pasta was good. Breakfast was also good - fruit, pancakes and egg, but only instant coffee. I particularly liked the access to free drinking water refill - there is a cooler in the dining area. The staff were helpful - with the chef staying late for us, helping us call to book some massages down the road at Nuat Thai Spa, helping me get a bowl of rice for lunch when I tried to order when the kitchen was backed up we made a plan B. Location is a bit further down in the quiet end of Manalo St. It isn't far to walk up to the part with restaurants, coffee shops and the spa, but I probably wouldn't have done that walk alone as a female in the dark so I would stay here with a group more than solo. I'm sure it is very safe, but as a general rule of thumb I don't walk alone in the dark down quiet streets. After the liveaboard I stayed in the 'busier' part of Manalo St. Would I stay here again - well if in PP I would probably go to my second hotel as a repeat customer as it was just nicer all around (but also cost double the price). However, Acacia is perfectly adequate for the price point if you are looking for accommodation close to the airport or the boat pier in southern PP at a very reasonable price and it is true to the pictures.
Dolarog, a true pet-friendly resort! The resort in itself is superb! It’s like a hidden gem of El Nido and the greatest thing about it is it’s truly a pet-friendly haven! What I like about it is that it’s still in the main island but gives off that exclusive feels. We stayed for 8 days in total at the beachfront villa called Lagen which is a few meters from the beach overlooking their jetti way and that awe-inspiring giant limestone directly in front of our villa. Getting to the resort is other via speedboat or their private access road from Vanilla Beach using a golf car. You know that you’ll have an excellent stay when the owner, Mr. Edu picks you up(or sometimes the son) from Vanilla beach for a more personal touch. How hospitable right? He also has a selection of Italian wines from his cellar as he is Italian, I had Chianti btw over dinner with the beach, stars and the moon as our backdrop. Truly magical! The rooms are always kept clean by the staff who are also very friendly. The main Receptionist, Tata is attentive and very pleasant not to mention very informative. I would take her as my head of staff if only I could! She knows her products and knows when to recommend it, the type of staff who is not in your face all the time to promote an offer. I must say she is one of the nicest resort staff I ever come across with. Food is relatively good. Home cooked and unpretentious. As with any advice when you go to a limited supply area such as El Nido, don’t get your expectations too high on having a western dish so much because obviously, you will have some issues so I only ordered I know locally sourced here like seafood or their filipino dishes like the menudo and chicken curry which are my faves! Filipino breakfast is good. You might wanna carry spare powerbanks as the resort rely on their own generator for electric supply. From 6am-9am and 12noon-6pm there is no electric power. Also, TV is not available (not sure abt other rooms though) but who needs a TV anyway? It’s not like you chose to go to El Nido and sit all day on Netflix and stay indoors duh! I rented a motorbike for 500/day basis and this really helped me in exploring or going out of the resort but the resort offers complimentary shuttle via their golf car to Vanilla beach for free but I wanted to leave and come back on my own time. This is also a 20 minutes walk to Maremegmeg beach by beachside access. Tricycle ride cost between 150 going to town from Vanilla beach btw. Overall our experience is a great 4.5/5 with .5 leaving for improvement on the land access before the Dolarog gate. Also, I’m pretty confident even without any advertisement or active social media promotion, the resort will do just good but let me tell when I posted 1 picture of Dolarog on my socmed, people flocked my DM to ask if I was in another country. This is how beautiful the resort is but I hope that with how Millennials pick up on their next destination is mostly through social media, the resort pu
