The Palace Hotel

Love this hotel friendly staff clean good entertainment.

Visited for my 40th birthday with my husband. We were upgraded to the Singer suite and the view from the large bay window was truly beautiful. The room was very spacious and the bed was really comfortable. The room was dated and worn in places but it is an old building. A few of the light bulbs didn't work but the room had a lovely feeling and was clean. The best thing about this hotel has to be the Staff! The receptionists were amazing especially Stanze who really made us feel really welcome. She gave her all to every customer and I would definitely give her a raise! The food was also noteworthy. We had the 3 course meal in the lovely dining room. The sorbet as a pallet cleanser was a lovely touch. The food was all fresh and tasty! Breakfast was also perfectly cooked and there was plenty of choice for the continental. The swimming pool was very nice, but it is worth noting to book ahead way in advance for any beauty treatments. We tried to book massage a week in advance and they were fully booked. Swimming and meals should also be pre-booked. The bed, breakfast and room deal is good as it saves a lot and also includes free swimming which is otherwise £5 per room. Lastly, the artwork around the hotel really gave the place a luxurious feel and the grounds were well kept with adequate parking Looking forward to our next stay!

Lovely views but hotel needs updating. Very tired interiors, poorly maintained bathrooms. No clear main entrance/welcome into the hotel

From the sea front position, to the amazing staff and the brilliant facilities and great food I would confidently recommend The Palace Hotel to anyone looking for a lovely time in Paignton. No complaints at all.

Genuinely surprised how good this hotel is, set right on the seafront with lots of free car parking spaces. We had a sea facing room with lovely views, short walk to the shops and restaurants.

Just had an excellent 7 day break at the Palace. We had a Singer Room with wonderful views also food in restaurant is first class. Generally the hotel is very welcoming with very attentive and efficient staff. Well recommended.

Great hotel on a wonderful place. Staff was superb. Felt like they were their true themselves. Stanze at Front Desk is a jewel. Always a smile, and so pleasant to talk to. @management: do take good care of her. Once they have left, you won’t get them back so easily.

Relaxing short break which was better than we had anticipated. Guests tend to be on elderly side. Everything is clean and staff are very friendly and welcoming. Food better than anticipated but would have liked a couple more dishes to choose from - ingredients used were good. Rooms were on the old side but very clean only issue was lack of power sockets near bed

Overall everything was very good . thoroughly enjoyed my time .great atmosphere, All staff were very friendly
