Maison d'Hôtes Moulin Saint Julien

Spent the most wonderful 2 days at this renovated mill as a stopover on our journey to Limoges! Cannot recommend this place enough! Beautiful building surrounded by water & nature…. Especially enjoyed watching a heron family fish in the river! Rooms were gorgeous, swimming pool was fabulous (our teenage daughters’ favourite place to be during our stay!) Breakfast was simple but perfect (fresh bread, cheese, fruit, yoghurt & jams). Our hosts were so welcoming … thank you to Lili and her husband for being so helpful & friendly! And how wonderful to meet the resident dogs & kitten!! Easy travel into Orléans which is a lovely city to visit! We absolutely fell in love with this place and would definitely stay again in the future! 🥰

Beautiful location! Tranquil and serene. Wanted a stay longer, our cancelled flight annoyingly cut our stay short. Pool is delightful. Loved the provision of towels for both the pool and shower. Breakfast is perfect, fresh, quality produced. Room was airy, modern and clean. Could not fault!

I simply don’t have enough superlatives for this wonderful place. The setting is absolutely magical, the welcome and hospitality second to none and the accommodation superb. A place to really relax, unwind and enjoy. Fabulous and we will certainly be returning as soon as possible

Wonderful gem. Comfortable, beautifully decorated rooms, views over the river, delicious breakfast and our every need looked after by delightful owner Lili. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. And by the time we left, relaxed and restored. We had watched the wildlife on the river; walked the Sentier des moulins, swam in the pool and relaxed over glasses of wine on the terrace right on the river. Everywhere is peaceful. We will return soon. Thankyou Lili and Jakuf & Sasha the dogs for a perfect stay.

Stunning location overlooking the river with its languid motion, busy bird life and lovely riverside walk. Room was as per the website, comfortable, spotless and Aurelie was just delightful. The two house dogs are too cute and no trouble but best resist the urge to give them snacks :) There are a few restaurants within an easy walk. We particularly loved La Laurendiere fabulous unexpected fine dining at a moderate price.

C'est la 2 ème fois que nous séjournons au Moulin et la magie provoquée par ce lieu intemporel est toujours au rendez-vous. Outre la magnifique bâtisse dont l'histoire séculaire mérite d'être découverte; l'accueil chaleureux, le professionnalisme et le talent de décoratrice d'intérieur de la propriétaire sont remarquables. Mais quel bonheur cette chambre d'hôtes dans ce moulin fabuleux, le paradis sur terre, tout était parfait, le lieu, le calme, l'accueil des propriétaires, tout a été rénové avec goût, avec délicatesse, une propreté irréprochable, comme c'est beau ce parc, ce moulin, cette piscine au bord de l'eau, ce petit déjeuner le long du Loiret et cette vue fabuleuse des 3 fenêtres de notre chambre. Nous y reviendrons avec grand plaisir car c'est un endroit exceptionnel et tellement tranquille pour se détendre et se ressourcer. Nous avons fait la promenade des moulins avec nos enfants et mon mari qui est un grand fan des moulins était aux anges. Petites baignades bien appréciées dans la piscine et 2 merveilleux restaurants : le Rivage et à Madagascar tout prêt 😉 Je n'ai qu'un conseil à vous donner allez-y les yeux fermés vous ne serez pas déçu. Un grand merci à Aurélie pour sa gentillesse, sa discrétion et son trop bon riz au lait que je valide, et merci aussi à son mari pour la visite de la roue et les explications sur les origines du moulin, nous reviendrons c'est sûr et nous avons fait de la pub autour de nous. Nous revenons avec des paillettes dans les yeux. Merci, merci, merci 🙏

Mooie nette kamer (Le foulon) met uitzicht op de vijver. Een groot en goed bed. Het ontbijt was goed maar niet erg uitgebreid qua beleg. Zeer vriendelijke dame die veel uitleg geeft voor uitstapjes. Je kan mooie wandelingen maken in de buurt.

Il Moulin Saint Julien è un'esperienza di altri tempi. Contestualizzato in uno scenario tanto romantico quanto fiabesco, è al confine tra Olivet e Orléans. La struttura di stampo quasi coloniale è affacciata di fronte a un laghetto. L'accoglienza della padrona di casa è amorevole premurosa, attenta a gestire anche il più piccolo dettaglio. Le camere sono ampie e ben arredate, disposte su due piani. Per accedere alla struttura bisogna praticamente entrare in un parco, rigorosamente chiuso, e si parcheggia proprio di fronte alla casa padronale. Bello davvero. Contenti di aver fatto questa scelta
