My husband and I recently celebrated 27 years of marriage,this was our first stay at this residence inn. The hotel is a newly built hotel and a nice hotel.However,I was very upset that this hotel charged my card almost a $1000 for a $40 incidental hold when my room stay was paid in advance through a 3rd party. I do appreciate the manager apologizing and adding points to my account for the inconvenience. In my opinion management needs to make sure their staff is well trained before letting them check guest in their rooms. This was a total headache for my husband and I, no manager was available when this happen to correct the issue immediately. I had to wait on the manager to be available, which was 48 hours later,call my financial institute, moving forward the hold was lifted 3-4 days after departure. I understand mistakes happen,however this was a awful experience and ruined my anniversary trip. Just be aware and careful when swiping your card for a incidental hold.
