Hotel Spa Bosque Mar

Our party of 3 adults stayed for 5 nights in July 2023, at the midpoint of a touring holiday of northwest Spain. We stayed half board, in a two-bedroom apartment in the hotel's annex. The word "annex" may cause some anxiety, but this separate building (which has a lift) shares the same beautiful grounds and is only 2 minutes' walk from the main block. Breakfast is served in the cafeteria/bar on the ground floor of the annex, so guests in the annex feel fully part of the hotel. The apartment, and, indeed, the feel of whole hotel, was spacious and comfortable. Ample parking is available right opposite the annex, and the hotel has two 3-phase 11kW charging stations in the basement (€6 flat rate, which is a bargain, and gave us enough range to reach León). The food was excellent - both the generous breakfast buffet and the dinner, with a choice each evening of two or three alternatives for each course. The staff, who mostly spoke good English and tolerated our terrible Spanish with good grace, were uniformly friendly and helpful. The pool and gardens were delightful. A relatively compact area has been exquisitely landscaped, and never felt crowded while we were there. The hotel is about 500m from the beach, and a small supermarket is available on the campsite about 300m away. The small fishing port of O Grove is 10 minutes' drive away, and worth a visit. Within walking distance is the lookout point of Puna Moreiras, with a scultpture park, and a great place to watch the often spectacular sunsets. A coastal path leads back to the beach, so a pleasant circular walk of about 2-3km is possible. It's hard to think of any constructive criticisms of this friendly but very professionally-run hotel. Here are two: the sunloungers around the pool are heavily contoured and very comfortable in one position only. And the apartment would have benefitted from a comfy chair or two. Overall, an outstanding hotel which we would recommend without reservation.

This is a small but well run hotel situated a short walk from a couple of beaches. There is ample parking, including a shaded parking lot. First impressions were not good, greeted by reception answering the telephone over us but we warmed to our hosts. The hotel is split into a main building and an annex. Our room in the annex was basic but spacious and had ample facilities including strong air conditioning. Regrettably our room did not have a balcony (as advertised) and was not in the best position "out back". Free WiFi but no mini-bar. The pool was lovely, just enough space and just big enough. The sun loungers were as hard as rock but arguably good for you back. Food was excellent for a hotel, including breakfast which had a lovely spread and fine dining. Staff were particularly attentive (not much English spoken). It's easy to forget this is only a 3* hotel, we would happily return.

We have been coming to this hotel for several years on and off. Nothing is too much trouble. They welcomed our 2 dogs and there is a place to walk them over the road. Parking is free. The highlight was the food. Most of its vegetables are grown themselves. The seafood amazing. There is a lovely very well kept Japanese garden. The staff are attentive and the whole place is very clean. The pool is great and there is a jacuzzi and sauna. As pipas beach is a 5 minute walk. This hotel is a little gem 💎

This is a very well run and comfortable hotel. The gardens are spectacular with a nice terrace bar to relax and have a drink in the evening. The hotel is a short walk from some beautiful small beaches where the water is crystal clear. So to sum up, a great experience which we will hope to repeat soon!

Excelente...es el segundo año que venimos y seguimos encantados tanto del estudio súper completo ,comodo y espacioso. La piscina una maravilla y tamaño y temperatura ideal para disfrutar con el niño, en un ambiente relajado rodeado de naturaleza,muy bien cuidado. El restaurante es de 10 calidad precio inmejorable , apenas notamos diferencia de precio del otro año a este ,si los hay son las propias debido a la situacion. Gracias a todo el personal del hotel,es un placer el trato amable y respetuoso y cercano ,se espira profesionalidad. Así da gusto ir de vacaciones. Nos vemos el año que viene 😜😘😘

Estadia muito agradável! Atendimento simpático. Quarto espaçoso, camas muito confortáveis. À noite o silêncio era tal que só se ouvia o frigorífico a funcionar. No pequeno-almoço apenas sentimos falta de pão não fatiado e os sumos podiam ser de fruta natural. Foi muito bom podermos levar as cadelas e gratuitamente. Parque de estacionamento mesmo em frente ao hotel. Jardim muito bonito e cuidado. O SPA tem o suficiente para um bom momento de relaxamento. Pertinho da praia das Pipas que é uma beleza!

Hotel schwer zu beurteilen: einerseits ruhige Lage ausserhalb des Orts mit Nähe zu kleinen schönen Stränden, sehr geschmacksvolle Hotelanlage, gutes Spa, gute Parkmöglichkeiten und vor vor allem sehr gutes Restaurant zu vernünftigen Preisen. Nur die Zimmer: ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen, wenig geschmackvolle Einrichtung, knarrende/klemmende Badezimmertür - schön aber der Balkon mit Blick ins Grüne. Trotz der Abstriche bei den Zimmern: in Summe doch noch empfehlenswert - aber nur für kürzere Aufenthalte.

Hotel bien situado para unas vacaciones tranquilas, pequeñas playas cercanas, y en el pueblo ademas del hotel hay varios restaurantes. El hotel al que he ido en varias ocasiones (mas de 3 años) , en general bien, pero tiene cosas que considero pueden mejorar. En el desayuno no están incluido un café descafeinado de cafetera, cosa que me parece muy básica, si lo quiere tiene coste, al entregar las toallas húmedas que te facilitan por cortesía la persona que las recoge decide si las secas en la habitación o te las cambia( tienen política de reducción de consumo de agua con la que estoy de acuerdo), al llevarlas ya he valorado esta opción no entiendo porque me dicen que no me las recogen y que las seque yo. La cafetería que da servicio a la piscina por las tardes, es de servicio muy escaso, solo helados, smoties, copas y cafés, algo tan habitual como un sándwich o una ración de empanada no está disponible, solo bolsas de patatas fritas y fruta a un precio excesivamente elevado(2,50 pieza) y que no te sirven ni en un bol ni plato de papel. En general hotel correcto de 3 estrellas con servicio a mejorar para los usuarios.
