The location is quiet and tranquil. The rooms are a good size, very pleasant, clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows are comfortable. The staff are very helpful and polite. Dinner was quite good and there is a complete bar. Very relaxing indeed.

After volunteering at a very basic lodge my friend and I went to Ankole Resort for some nights to have a little treat. In total we did enjoy the stay a lot but it is as if the staff lack a bit of customer service. Only one stands out: Johnson was just the best and always met people with a big smile. The bed is very comfy and the rooms are great. We even had wifi but it was poor. There are several flat screens turned loudly on all day and very often no one is watching so it’s just annoying background noise. The place is so peaceful that they should appreciate that peace more. Food and wine are nice but only around 50% on the menu was available. It might be due to COVID and few guests. The chicken Currie with coconut is to die for. An outdoor pool would have been such a pleasure as we had hot and sunny days. For cooler days there is a nice sauna available. We would gladly be back.
