My experience was far from spectacular. When I arrived, I was greeted by the manager yelling at one of the valet drivers right in front of me while I stood there waiting to be helped. I checked in on a very busy day so I did not expect my room to be ready any earlier than 4pm, which was understandable and expected. When I finally got into my room later, it had a strong musty odor and the floor wasn’t vacuumed. Again understanding it might’ve been a tight turn on rooms, I didn’t want to complain. I became more frustrated to find that the TV or wifi did not work. I decided to try and call the front desk to see if they had any other rooms available- my phone also didn’t work. All of this was understandable and although frustrated, I know it can be out of the hotels control. The reason I am deciding to leave a poor review was because of the way the GM responded to my feedback upon checkout. Her response was “I will let engineering now” as she chuckled to try and lighten the mood. At no point did she apologize or show any understanding. Should she have done that, it would’ve changed my 1 star review to a 4 or 5. A major lack of hospitality shown at this property.
Jermaine was awesome! He went above and beyond to help tell us about the area and gave us great recommendations for food. He has a genuine passion for life and helping his guests. If you stay at the hotel ask for him to help you. His coworkers were very friendly too! Thanks again for your hospitality. The DeLucia family.
Very good, but missing a little bit. The people at the front desk are very nice. The breakfast is slightly better than the 'free breakfast' at the other chain. The parking at the parking garage across the street is convenient. Note that the garage is not secured, but that is typical in cities. The Chrysler Museum is a short walk away. The nightlife / restaurants are a short walk down Granby Street. It is about a 15 minute walk to the harbor. The light rail transportation is nearby. The room was nice. We were upgraded to a two room suite which was great. On areas for improvement: There should be wall hooks for jackets / hats to the right of the door. There is a need for luggage holders. We had to put ours on the kitchen table. One of the two elevators was broken. When trying to check out in the morning, the one elevator was full every time it stopped at the 4th floor. It took a while to get the luggage cart into a car. The light rail was LOUD in our room until late at night. We faced W. York Street, which should have been quieter than Brambleton.
The room was large so we were able to spread out however, there were only 3 small drawers to put our stuff in. They could put a taller/wider dresser with more drawers in for more storage options. There was a shelf over the sink in the bathroom so we had extra storage in there which was great. There was only one hook for all of our towels, not convenient when trying to dry multiple towels. Water pressure was great. Some of the staff was really nice, some seemed like we were bothering them. Breakfast staff was amazing and helpful. Breakfast was ok at best. We had to use the business center and there was a roach on the wall. I told the front desk and they didn't seem concerned about it.
We waited for over an hour to get checked in( I prepaid thru Priceline). When I mentioned it to a staff Member They said ”well just because check in says 4 pm does not mean u will check in at 4 pm. The hall smelled like beer. We stayed there 3 days and our sheets were never changed. I asked for more towels because the roll in shower was not draining. My son who came to pick us up for dinner was able to get us towels. I had called down to the desk after the 10th ring they picked up they put me off. Breakfast was cold. There was not a trash can in the room and the room has flies, Also, the toilet paper holder was broke. I spoke to a guest at breakfast and she had a similar experience. The room was not inexpensive. A motel 6 or Red Roof would have been better. I wish I had my money back. I hope Priceline sees this as well.

While booking our room there was a special request area on the website, I advised them that our arrival time would be rather late. Within a few minutes I had an email from them assuring me that it would not be a problem. Very comforting response. They were very welcoming upon our arrival, our room was neat, clean and comfortable. The air conditioner was already on so our room temperature was comfortable. The bed was comfortable. The center courtyard was a pleasant place to relax. We were looking for an independent small place, and we scored on this one. We would definitely stay there again.
I travel often for work and pleasure, usually upwards of 100 days a year. I have been a member of Hilton Honors for over 15 years and I have never left a hotel review before. Monique has made my stay! Her customer service is excellent, she is always in a good mood, and she made me feel as if I was the most important guest here. I am happy to write this review and recognize her for her exceptional customer service. I have stayed at 5-star hotels who didn't come close to the level of care, professionalism, and service that Monique has provided. I haven't interacted with any other staff yet, but if they are of her caliber, then I look forward to it.
IIsupportRonPaulSo it was a quick in and out . Dropped car off at airport and just needed place with a shuttle for the morning. The two shuttle drivers were excellent. The lady who checked me in and the young guy who checked me out , both very good as well. Service was good , but the customer interaction was even better .
My family and I needed a short stay in Norfolk and I found this place. When we arrived, we were greeted nicely. I needed adjoining rooms, but the hotel was booked. The lady at the front desk accommodated me very nicely and I was happy. The breakfast was good and plentiful. There was access to water, tea and coffee at all times. And we were very close to the outlets. I recommend this place.
ผผู้เข้าพักI wasn't allowed to change my reservation from 2 nights to 1 night after finding out our match schedule. We drove in early Friday morning with the intent of checking in then bc we had a room for Thursday and Friday night only to be told the room was released as a no-show (which I had sent a message through the Hilton App that we would be checking in early Friday am). So, then I had to wait to check in on Friday for Friday night until after 1:00 pm BUT I was still charged for the Thursday night room which - I was fine with bc we wanted to check in early - but that didn't happen. The hotel was not helpful at all with the situation and kind of played dumb with the whole process. I will not be keeping my Hampton Rewards for future stays. For a preferred customer rewards program - not happy with the outcome.
The Econo Lodge in Little Creek is by far one of the cleanest, most comfortable hotels in the area! My husband and I travel to the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area about once a month for work. This is def my favorite place to stay! Bed/sheets were super clean & fresh, floors were spotless, and bathroom was perfect! These rooms are very spacious and homey feeling. The staff is extra friendly and helpful and the location is peaceful. They serve a nice little breakfast in the Lobby but if you want something different, there’s a Starbucks (def a necessity lol), a Bar n Grill, and many other food/necessities within walking distance. The front parking lot is a little small but there is lots of extra parking in the back which is helpful if needed. It’s a very short drive to the beach!! You could even walk it if you don’t mind walking about a 1/2 mile but it’s like a 2 min drive and parking is free. The Cova Brewing Co and Beach park are close by! Now for my favorite part THE BEACH!!! The Chesapeake Bay beach area (beach park) by this hotel is one of the most beautiful in the area. We enjoy it more than Virginia Beach! There are beautiful rocks lined down the middle and little waves so you can relax and enjoy your time in the water. It’s not overcrowded like Virginia Beach and everyone is very friendly. Out of all the times we’ve visited this area, my husband and I both agree WE HAVE THE BEST TIME when we stay at The Econo Lodge Little Creek!
Water in bathroom - woke up at 3am to find water leaking from ceiling and wall. Let front desk know at 6 AM (for softball tournament) and asked if we could move to our belongs to a new room or keep them there while they checked out the problem -they did not have anything available and I would not be able to have another room until after three . also we’re not permitted to keep our belongings in the room. So we had to quickly pack up. After a lot of back-and-forth with the gentleman at the front desk he said the might have something come available earlier. No compensation offered. The water had been leaking for sometime as the paint was bubbled all down the wall. Rooms were clean but dated. A bit of an inconvenience as you have to go pick up linens for the pull out and toaster/appliances.
***Do not stay here** stayed here part of a wedding party. After checking in my room it was a smell **** and cigarette smoke through out the hall way. That wasn’t the worst part. I arrived with me and my family things to the first room that smelled and had some white substance coated the windows due maybe water leak. The comforter and couch was soiled. I ask to be moved to another room. My next room smelled a lot better and looked cleaner. Most of brides wedding party and guest left the hotel that night because of the condition of the hotel. Prior to leaving for our first event of the evening there were roaches on the sink and my breaking point was a baby roach was in the middle of my bed. I could not have my children in this type of environment. Me and my family could not sleep here. I don’t write reviews but they need to do something about this. This hotel is very old and unkept.
