the room and interio was dissapointing. pictures on internet looked great but room was not. Bed uncomfortable and the pillows unusefull

Unique setting in old townhall, reasonable, nice surroundings and nice breakfast

I did a late booking because I knew the hotel. I did not get any link/sms with pin etc and the contact to customerservice was complicated - took 40 min to get all solved just before midnight I was installed in a different building from before, and the information was extremely poor. There was a terrible smell in the building and the quality of the room was way lower than expected. Last, there was no code for getting in to the building the following morning for breakfast Not a good experience, and I am not going there again, even it’s a good location for me 1-2 nights a week I am very satisfied with ********** 👍

Good basic hotel in a nice central location in Gråsten. I was generally satisfied. The room was very small though. There was minimum floor space for luggage and it was very har to pass between the bed and the cupboard. But apart from that I was very satisfied and would stay there again. Breakfast was nice and staff friendly

Considering the high price, I expected more from the hotel in terms of service, facilities and food. For this price I would have expected at least a mini-bar and a safe. It is a pity that the office is not staffed. When we complained about the curtains which were not functioning well, it was solved too late (after two days with some lame excuse) and not properly. The breakfast was very basic the first when we were one the few guests. Later on when more guests arrived there were more things to chose from (among which some eggs and more kinds of meat). I would recommend to serve the same breakfast everyday, even if there are only a few guests. However, I have to say that the kitchen took very good care of my wife’s diet. To end with a positive note, we did enjoy our stay at the hotel, the room was comfortable and the birds sang beautifully.

We wanted a hotel that was a bit more memorable than the standard quality hotel chains all across Denmark. This hotel was in the renovated Town Hall of Graasteen and kept the feel of the old building with a broad reception desk and windows etched with scenes from the town. The rooms are named after members of the Danish Royal family, a reference to the nearby royal castle. We stayed in Mary (named for the crown princess) and were pleased to find a tastefully decorated, adequately sized room with a well-equipped balcony, coffee and tea facilities, and quite a bit of colour in the fittings, which brought it out of the standard hotel colour scheme and made it feel much more cosy. Breakfast was a bit dull, not much choice, but quite fresh. I liked the fuss-free check in system - we didn’t meet a single member of staff until breakfast, but none was needed, because we could just turn up any time after 3pm and use our pre-provided code for all the doors, fetch a parking permit etc. Nobody had to stay up for us, and the hotel stayed in touch via multiple text messages and the booking site. Any changes or problems, we could just report through our account (created for us) on the website. Corona considerations: Plenty of sanitiser available in the reception area but no portion control or gloves at breakfast.
