Manse on the Beach

Excellent, peacful place. The stress leaves you as you walk in. Brian and Rachel were amazing hosts and very tentative. Nothing too much trouble. Lovely area, pet friendly and beach directly opposite. Lots to do in area in terms of restaurants etc.

Brian is a very friendly host, helpful with good local knowledge. Our room was warm, clean and homely. The reading/ tv area backed onto the garden, the warmth from the wood burning stove was great. A nice touch was the tea and coffee “on tap.” Breakfast was more than filling! Will definitely be back!

It was amazing, such a lovely place with lovely rooms and facilities. Good few things to do especially as there isn’t a lot in Cloughey. Though other towns 10 mins away have more options. Can see how it won Four in a bed

We had a great time staying in Manse On The Beach. The place is very clean and super cosy. We had a choice of cooked breakfast options and the staff were very accommodating. The sauna and jacuzzi are a real delight! The only con was the bed in our room. It needs an upgrade. Either the bed or the mattress makes awfully sqweeky sound even when turning.

A hidden gem in beautiful countryside with the beach on your doorstep. We were greeted by the lovely Rachel, who showed us around. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She immediately made us feel welcome and provided us with her lovely sense of humour. This gorgeous bijou B+B boasts a jacuzzi and steam room in a vast garden,that you can book for private use. Very comfortable surroundings and a lovely room with deliciously smelling skin products to use. The owners, Brian and Cora are very friendly and accomodating and one of their dogs,the big fluffy Oscar, was just a pet. . We would definitely come back. 😀

Lovely setting ocean side. Very comfortable room, greeted promptly and helpful run through, would recommend and would stay again.

An absolute haven on the Ards peninsula. This is a perfect adults only getaway. Brian is the perfect host and the guesthouse has so many beautiful touches. Coffee machines in each bedroom, and lovely white robes should you choose to use the beautiful spa area in the garden, with jacuzzi bath and sauna. The large, cosy communal room, complete with wood burner and a selection of beautiful books, is perfect to relax in. There is even a little fridge so you can keep a chilled beverage of choice to hand. The breakfast served by a very welcoming Rachel, was truly delicious, a good choice of hot dishes with the finest ingredients, as well as fresh fruit, local yoghurt, cereals, fresh orange juice and freshly brewed coffee. We will definitely be back.

What a fabulous find! Excellent host and staff - comfortable room, great breakfast: genuinely dog friendly too. Right next to the beach, as in the name. We would very definitely stay here again, sensibly priced, really welcoming - a joy!

This was our first visit but will certainly not be our last. It is an absolute jewel. The venue and decor are tasteful and stylish. Service could not have been better… Rachel was very attentive and gave good advice. We were greeted with a glass of Prosecco on the house in the reception area, then taken to our table in the stylish bistro restaurant. Wonderful a**osphere and full. Not surprising when we sampled the outstanding food. All our three courses were delightful. Meals are pre-ordered, which gives customers time to consider and choose before the night. We had a wonderful experience and most certainly will be back during our next visit to Cloughey in October. We shall book early as I suspect this gem will be very sought after for a special evening out Sheelagh & Mike Tickell
