A lovely character building in a peaceful spot. Great to unwind. The pool really helped too. Food was lovey and reasonably priced

Had a great weekend here, staff very polite and friendly and helpful.
The hotel and rooms were clean and tidy, with ample supply of tea/coffee/sugars and milks.
The swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna was clean and available to use by all residents.
Food was lovely and hot and tasty.
Would recommend here and will definitely be returning.

The post code given on the hotel address did not lead us to the Hotel. It was difficult to find as it was inside an estate. The hotel is not close to the road. The sign at the road entrance is not very prominent. When arriving at the hotel, the building looks like a manor of some royalties which was quite impressive. Check in was smooth but there wasn't a lift and we had to haul our heavy luggage up a couple flight of stairs and through narrow corridors. No porters or conceige to help was a bit annoying. The breakfast was standard full english breakfast which was as expected. Lawn areas and many big trees around the hotel does provide a relaxing feel. There is a separate building that houses the pool and gym. This facility was not exclusive for hotel guest and open to people who join their club. Unfortunetely on the day of my stay, there were many people there and so I gave it a miss.

Our impression overall was one of disappoi**ent and the generally poorish state of the much of the interior of the hotel.
Our room was smaller than anticipated especially as it was advertised as a classic 'Manor Room'
The heating was off on our arrival and twice during our stay we had to request that it be turned on.
There was no bedside lamp on one side and again we had to request for one.
The room was not cleaned on the second day with no sign to use to request or 'do not disturb' - this would be useful for all rooms!
Breakfast was fair but no muesli or continental breakfast was on offer nor fresh fruit.
Evening meal was good.
Spa and swimming pool were good though no towels were available on our last morning and the attendant suggested that my wife go back to our room to get one - not good!
Except for him the taff were helpful and polite but we would like to see improvement especially as the hotel is in such a nice location and has the potential to be much better. Inves**ent is clearly needed!

We really enjoyed our 3 day stay at Haughton hall, we used the swimming pool which was excellent. We attended a 50th party at the hotel which we also enjoyed. Breakfast was very good and it was only a twenty minute walk into the town which had a good choice of bars and restaurants

The property is set in a vast land, that enable guests to go for long walk, within the compound.
The building is beautiful and you can see the allure, from years gone by. The building need a bit of sprucing up, to reflect it statue.
