"The hotel and the surrounding area is well maintained. Room was clean and well facilitated. Hotel facilities were also quite good. Nice sea view.  I do appreciate how they managed the restaurant, as they are extremely helpful by finding you an available table. I was happy to see the area was free from mosquitos, as we later visited Benalmádena near Málaga and suffered by mosquitos. Now to the painful bits: 1. The WiFi was a big pain - the Internet connectivity is close to non existent, that I had to use my mobile cellular data through the entire stay.  2. The parking was difficult - there were plenty of parking spaces, but still overwhelmed by the holiday seasons. There is a dedicated car park but was locked and overcharged (15 EUR). I found it absurd as they advertised free parking. This was ended up rogue parking during the night, as many vehicles had to park on the curb or along the driveway. Will recommend a visit."

"MB boutique is a fantastic hotel. The room had a balcony which was facing the other apartment buildings across the way. Interior of hotel room is all digital with a big screen TV and a very comfortable stay and bed. Couple of concerns at this hotel during my stay. Lots of little insects that enter the room if the balcony door is left open. If you’re looking for a continental breakfast, this is not a hotel for you. Unfortunately, I came to find out that when they microwave their eggs to harden no boiling water used. This is a thumbs down for me as eggs should not be microwaved at all. I had recommended they buy a burner and a pot to boil the eggs in as that is safer for consumption. However, plenty of restaurants around within five minutes, walking distance for a great full English breakfast."

"Always enjoy a few days at Nerja Club out of season . Stayed on a different side of the hotel this year which I found a bit noisy but ok . Enjoy the fact that the hotel has some good walks from it . Bus station is near enough to explore , two supermarkets if you need one . Yes some of the rooms are rough round the edges but I have always had clean functioning room . Never had an issue with staff some have been there years . The food for me is ok never been left hungry . Look forward to returning again in Feb 27 alreadybooked."

"Great stay at La Puerta de Nerja! The location is excellent — very close to the Balcony of Europe, with many restaurants and gelato shops nearby. The beach is only about a 5-minute walk away, which was very convenient. The staff were very nice and welcoming throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Nerja!"

Hotel Toboso Chaparil

"Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The standard room was spacious, and the beds were comfortable. There was a free safe. TV had many English Freeview channels. Breakfast was superb and staff were constantly refreshing everything. Wifi coverage was a bit limited, not extending much beyond the ground floor. Housekeeping was great: The rooms cleaned and towels replaced daily. The whole hotel was spotless. There was a large rooftop terrace furnished with plenty of comfortable sunbeds. The pool (closed until April) is not large enough to swim, but ample to cool off. Many clients reported returning year on year."
