Old Vic Travellers Inn Nelspruit

I took a group of 50 to Old Vic and we all loved it! Crazy Dave and his staff are incredibly helpful and accommodating. We organized a few different adventures with them, including safari, zip lining, and the bridge swing and all went of amazingly well! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and homey place to stay in Nelspruit!

Just got home from my 2nd trip with Dave at Old Vic Travellers Inn and Kruger Flexi Tour. I cannot say enough just how great it was. Old Vic is in a beautiful neighborhood and has amazing views of the wild mountain scenery backing onto the property and the jungle paradise pool area. The outdoor covered lounge area and the bar is a great place for a cold beer and planning the trip to Kruger with Dave. Cooling off in the pool after exploring Nelspruit or the local restaurants was so welcome. We stayed here upon arrival in Nelspruit, then did three days in the Park before returning to Old Vic and then heading back to Canada. Our room had a walk out to the pool, clean comfortable and just what we needed. Kruger National Park is a must see and if you want to see it, I truly believe that Dave is the guide you need. He is super knowledgeable, with a keen eye at spotting animals. They were very helpful with logistical information, helping us plan getting to and from Nelspruit. Our safari with Dave was spectacular on the wildlife front but also so much fun. He is known as Crazy Dave and his energy and excitement about taking guests into the park is infectious. He knows everyone and is well liked inside and outside the park, so you get an inside look and are welcomed into places you would not likely see otherwise. Especially on the way home on from the park with the stops at Blyde River Canyon, Bourkes Luck Potholes, Harry's and more. These stops are must sees before heading back to Nelspruit. We stayed in two different camps inside the park and each day ended with Dave doing a traditional South African Braai (BBQ) that was a delicious and perfect way to end the day and review the sights of the park. Enjoyed a full days game drive in Kruger National Park's southern section. The guide and driver who owns the Old Vic Inn and the accompanying tour company was punctual, organized and very knowledgeable about the animals and flora we were sitting. Often going out of his way to find specific animals. The tour was affordable and booked within minutes. I would certainly recommend Old Vic Inn and their accommodation either private rooms or a dormitory for backpackers is an ideal place to stay. Clean and comfortable with a good self catering kitchen and a communal lounge area.

Excellent service - friendly and hospitable staff - have done this visit 16 times now - and will always return. Dave, Bella and Dylan are wonderful people who treat you like family (in the best way possible). Highly recommend the Old Vic.

A wunderful place in a crowed city. Nice sleeping place and start for your Kruger National Partk experiance. Frendly hostes. It is so quiet there that you think not to be in Nelspruit as a big city. Relaxing and good place as bases for activities.

I had a horrible experience. Found the owner to be very unkind. They pretty much took my money for free because I didn't even check in. I wish them well on their future endeavours. I just don't wish this on my worse enemy.

The place is amazing, Dave and his family are simply great, very friendly and welcoming, I felt at home! I went for a weekend by myself, but I never felt alone, and I did so many different activities in only a couple of days! Great experience!

On the night we were late for arrival Dave called us to find out if we are still safely on the way and surprised us when we arrived by upgrading our room to the en suite which had a baby cot for our 6 month old baby. The place was very clean and we were given absolute privacy throughout the time and we really enjoyed the pool and bird aviary. We will definitely be booking in at Old Vics the next time we visit Nelspruit again!! Thank you Dave and Bella for a memorable stay Lyle and Caslee

My wife and I just got back from a trip to South Africa and ESwatini. Dave led a day safari with an overnight stay and coordinated a night safari. Seeing the animals at night was a unique experience. We also had a very early morning safari that showed another side of Kruger. This far exceeded our expectations. Dave is an incredible host and tour guide. The hospitality of Dave, his wife and the staff made our trip a true delight.
