Excellent service! "Get a problem, solve a problem" is their motto. Need dry-cleaning on New Year's Eve? No problem! They find a way to say yes, instead of no. The food is really good, they will cook to order at excellent prices. The ocean is 50m away, you can see and hear it, and the pool is magical, especially with the lights at night

It is a mystery to me, how this hotel gets this good rating?! In 16 days Sri Lanka round trip, the worst accommodation with the worst food and the worst location. The hotel has its best times. We were shocked by the beach..... we have never experienced such a dirty and littered beach in our lives. The food tastes like convenience food, which was definitely not fresh and only tasted like flavor enhancer. In relation also the most expensive food of our complete round trip .... 1000 rupees for a small portion of fries and then be so cheeky & add 10% tip automatically. In sum, a complete washout. We also booked a cab to the airport through the hotel and paid in advance, the driver was punctual & nice, but when we arrived at the airport he demanded an additional about 600, - rupees for the expressway, this was never mentioned in the hotel and was not fair. The only thing that stood out positively was the nice staff, but unfortunately that is not enough for a pleasant stay. Sorry for the review, but they should think about it and should change something.

Ziegler Cottage was our comfortable home for a few days while we visited Negombo. It is easy to reach from the airport, and you can take tuk-tuks or the bus into Negombo. Our room had a sea view and a balcony with sea breezes making airconditioning unnecessary. The waves were too high for us to swim in the sea but the pool made up for it. Food, especially the fruit selection at breakfast, was very good. Staff were responsive and very hard-working. The hotel can organize trips--our all-day outing to a spice plantation, the Ridee Viharaya Temple, and the elephant park was perfect. Everyone goes out of their way to accommodate your needs. The hotel owner drove us to our destination when our ride did not show up. Thank you for a memorable stay! we look forward to returning.

Nice place to stay after arrival or before departure. Only 30min from the airport. Room clean, breakfast good and staff friendly. Nice pool is available and also a beach access, although the sea is pretty wild. Really nothing to complain about.

Very friendly and felaxed atmosphere. Good food.Clean and comfortable rooms with seaview. Nice pool and sunbeds with shading trees - if needed. Near Colombo AirPort. In half an hour by tuk-tuk you reach the city center of Negombo. Can be recommended for families with children as there is also a children’s pool.

This is the worst experience we have had with hotels. Its a shame to write about one of our hotels like this being a Sri Lankan. . There was no reception at the entrance and the room boy was the only person available. He wasnt even aware of our arrival and didnt have any idea about our booking. Rooms were not ready even after the check in time. The manager whom I personally was in touch with regarding the booking wasnt even there. Its extremely disappointing and never recommend to any local or foreign guest. As they didnt have even the basic stuff like a good reception. Never have had a terrible experience like this!

Probabilmente anni fa questo era un piccolo albergo con molti requisiti positivi ma oggi si percepiscono tutti i limiti. Il cottage e’ ben posizionato Il personale e’ gentile ma purtroppo la struttura non è tenuta bene. La stanza risente degli anni trascorsi senza aver fatto la dovuta manutenzione. Docce arrugginite , blatte(ne ho uccise due in due giorni ) formiche in bagno Lavandino intasato perché non pulito a dovere. Il bagno che dovrebbe servire l’area piscina e’ vecchio ed e poco pulito. Anche il giardino risulta poco curato. Le sdraio (quelle in plastica) sono sporche. Lo stesso i cuscini. Il servizio di ristorazione è penoso Abbiamo aspettato un’ora per avere un pesce che doveva essere arrostito e invece era bollito Colazione arraffazzonata. Peccato non aver fatto negli anni una corretta manutenzione e non curare la pulizia delle stanze(almeno quella mia era così) e la biancheria del letto
