Desmond Tutu Conf center's location is fantastic! Right by the road and near place where meeting was to take place. Accessibility is topsy! Having had a late check-in(during the grave yard shift),the time when the night is really cold! The ground level was freezing-was looking forward to a hot shower, dive into bed and zzzz! Alas,it wasnt to be. Checked in,went up,unpacked,showered..wanted to make some tea(i was hungry)but available was only black tea(Kenya has sooo many yummy teas,so,i expected a bit more than black Kericho gold). Oh well, off to check emails before i doze off-internet speed is nothing to smile about,so i gave up and closed my eyes. Then the drain pipes started singing a stay up song... Being "winter" time, water kept dripping from level to level, joint to joint- it was located near my window! So,bye bye sleep! Morning time: I notice hair (that wasnt mine) all over the floor. At night,i had noticed something on the top sheet,so i used a towel as cover(s) . Shower room, same hairs. When the soap fell,i left it there, because of the hair where soap had fallen. I repacked and off to breakkie. 8:10am. Breakfast is almost done..guess i was the last guest. Would be nice if staff gave guests time to serve before they did(especially before closing time of 9am!) The papaya, watermelon and pineapple were fantastic...the best! No water availed on breakfast, unless its charged on the room. No fresh juice-(only packed juice available) Only black tea bags available(Kenya is produces a lot of tea-of different types and flavors!) . Coffee/milk are warm(not hot. The only smile i got at the property, was from a security lady at the entrance! And that scared the world out of me..made me feel like am a problem without even me opening my mouth to say a word
