Virunga Inn Resort & Spa

Virunga Inn Resort and Spa was a beautiful place to stay during our gorilla trek. They have BEAUTIFUL gardens and the rooms are the best ones we stayed in during our entire trip (spacious, modern, clean). The staff is WONDERFULLY kind and helpful, and they had a local cultural group perform (dance and singing) one of the nights we were there which was such a special experience. I recommend this hotel for your time in Volcanoes!

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff are superb and can’t do enough for you to make your stay more comfortable. The food is excellent. The rooms are surrounded by beautiful plants and trees and the birds are colourful and stunning it’s a really tranquil place to stay and relax after a mornings trekking to visit the mountain gorillas and golden monkeys. I can also recommend a visit to the spa for a massage.

I loved loved my experience there everything about it is beautiful from the ambiance of the place the rooms and most especially my favourite part about the trip was the bed I have never slept on a more comfortable bed than at Virunga in my life. A return is definitely in the works.

One of the best resorts we've stayed in so far. Virunga Inn & resorts delivered more than what we were expecting. You can wake up to the Volcanoes in the morning to a beautifully manicured balcony gardens. The place is idyllic, conveniently located 15 mins drive to volcanoes national park. The staff were excellent, catering to all our stated & unstated needs. Lathifa & Josee were stand outs, they were very caring and welcoming. Food was excellent and the owner of the property Mr. Saleem was personally present to receive us & made all the arrangements & was happy to accommodate our requests. Definitely a must stay if you are planning on visiting the majestic Gorillas in Volcanoes National Park. Can't thank our tour guide Mr. Iddy for recommending this place.

I had the pleasure of staying at Virunga Inn Resort & Spa. This is a very nice cozy location with a spectacular view of volcanos from the outdoor dining area. The staff is wonderful, very welcoming and are attentive to all your needs. I highly recommend this place if you plan to visit the Musanze district in Rwanda for hiking or Gorilla's tour. John H

My wife and I stayed here one night as a result of a reservation problem at another establishment. I can not complain! the experience was delightful! The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very service oriented - thank you to: Benifait, José, Fabrice and last but not least Chef Vinod. Chef Vinod cooked us up some fantastic and welcome vegetarian meals! Will definitely come back!

Stay thoughtfully designed around guest needs considering trekking is probably why you're there - early breakfast and takeaway lunch available, the loan of equipment (gaiters in my case) was much appreciated and the boot cleaning top quality! Generously sized rooms and 3 course meals with a nice variety of options available. Friendly staff and great location just a little out of town which was very conveniently close to where my treks began/ended.

Virunga Inn Resort and Spa was a perfect choice for a three night stay to go gorilla trekking. It Virunga is well represented by Bienfait Dukundane who did an outstanding job responding to many emails prior to our arrival. Bienfait answered every question quickly and accurately! That same level of service continued once we checked in. 1-Big roomy accommodations 2-Fantastic meals 3-They booked our gorilla permits and coordinated transportation and it was seamless. 4-Transported us to the Dian Fossey and Gorilla Guardians Center All in all a fantastic stay! The only shortcoming was the spa. My wife and I had the worse massages ever and to the resorts credit they refunded our money. I wouldn't hesitate to book at Virunga again.

Super friendly service with top service. Rooms are large and luxurious. The gardens are beautiful and full of birds. Perfectly located for gorilla trekking as it's very close to where the trekking starts. They provided us with rain jackets and gaters for the trekking and cleaned our shoes afterwards. Would highly recommend. Thank you
