Plaza Premium München

The hotel is well equipped. We had a room with a coffee machine, fridge and microwave. Everything is clean. Situated a five minute walk from the train station. But….. we moved rooms three times as the wifi is impossible. We had no phone with us, and relied on the internet for overseas communications. IF you get a signal, it has one bar, extremely slow and highly likely to cut out. The TV signal is equally poor and many stations cannot connect. We had better reception in the laundromat down the road. We spent 2 weeks travelling throughout Eastern Europe in hotels of a far poorer standard but this had no comparison. Should you rely in internet for work, or social contact, avoid this hotel.

UNSAFE HOTEL!!! Drugged out guy sleeping outside doorway when we checked in. NO ELEVATOR SECURITY. Anyone can wander in and lurk in the hallways Worst of all THE FRONT DESK GAVE SOMEONE MY ROOM KEY AND I GOT WALKED IN ON AT 4 AM. There is no phone in the room to call the front desk so just stayed up the rest of the night. The Manager refused to come out and talk to us the next morning. TV didn’t work and coffee machine broken bu those are minor complaints compared to the safety issues. It’s a $40 cab ride into old town Munich because it is not safe to walk 10 min to S Bahn with druggies around. Avoid this place!!

Pros: comfy bed/pillows. Good TV. We appreciated the empty fridge for storing leftovers/drinks, the microwave, and dishes/cutlery provided. The hotel and our room seemed clean, and the location was convenient to transit and the Englischer Garten. Cons: The 2-story high window in our room was a cool novelty, but along with the view of the unkempt courtyard, we could see and be seen via several other windows across the courtyard, so we opted to keep the shade closed for the sake of privacy. This made it dark and gloomy in the room at all times. We had enjoyed several hotels/B&B's without AC earlier in our travels, but we decided to splurge a bit to have AC on the final leg of our trip. Unfortunately, the "nicer room" was two stories high with a loft bedroom, and the AC unit was installed under the loft. In spite of working the AC unit all day and all night, the cooler air did not reach the upper level where we slept. By the 3rd night, it was not noticeably cooler upstairs than it had been the first night. I asked at the front desk if they could at least provide a fan and was flatly told "we don't provide fans." And of course, there was no way to open the giant 2-story window to get a breeze. Between the non-existent customer service and the waste of money, this was my least favorite of the 6 places we stayed, 4 of which had no AC at all. The breakfast buffet costs an extra 20 Euros a person, so we opted to go elsewhere. There is a revolving door at the front entrance which is not automatic. Next to the revolving door, there is a regular door with a button for automatic access, but it was locked or not working both times we tried it. So we did not find the hotel entrance to be friendly to those with accessibility needs.

Great location. Not far from tram station and great for the football match. The only problem is there are no staff on at night times. Plenty of places to see and the centre of munich is a must. If you like it there is a McDonald's over the road znd a mini supermarket.

Great hotel for the money. We booked 2 rooms for our family and we received the connected rooms, at request, which were perfect for our needs. The rooms and bathrooms are a little small if i want to be overly critical and the hotel is a little out of the city but to be fair we knew this prior to booking. Parking was good with no height issues for my large SUV.

Während der Messe im MOC Event Center besuchte ich dieses gut gelegene Hotel. Das Zimmer und die Sauberkeit sind angemessen.Leider war das Frühstück dort regelmäßig eine Enttäuschung. Der gute Start in den Tag war somit jeden Tag verhindert. Regelmäßig waren beide Kaffemaschienen außer Betrieb der Lachs war stets vergriffen sowie das Rührei vertilgt. Das Buffet wirkte stets Mager mit tendenziell leeren Tellern. An der Rezeption begenete man mit Verständnislosigkeit:„Es werde regelmäßig nachgelgt“. Niewieder und danke für den schönen Aufenthalt mit dem ironischen Slogan auf der Zimmerkarte: „Denken sie an unser tolles Frühstück“.

Die Anfahrt mit dem PKW ist problemlos und es steht gegen eine Gebühr eine Tiefgarage zur verfügung. Die Zimmer sind modern ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Die Betten sind bequem. Alles tiptop soweit. Allerdings war dann das Morgenessen eine reine Enttäuschung. Morgenessen bis 09:30 Uhr möglich. Wir waren um 08:45 Uhr im Esssaal. Das Buffet war praktisch leer. Nachgefüllt wurde auch auf Anfrage nicht. Das Personal antwortete gereizt. Als ich an der Reception reklamierte hies es, das Lager sei leer und es werde nachgefüllt. Da wir nicht mehr warten konnten und abreisen mussten, wurde uns wenigstens das gebuchte Frühstück zurück erstattet. Aber den Punkt „das Lager sei leer“ lasse ich nicht gelten! Man weiss am Vorabend wieviele Gäste im Haus sind und wieviel mit Frühstück gebucht haben. Misserabele Organisation! Hotel nur zum Schlafen kann empfohlen werden, aber unbedingt ohne Frühstück!

Sehr schön eingerichtetes Hotel, hoher Standard, es war sehr sauber. Die Einrichtung gefiel uns besonders gut. Der Typ an der Rezeption war nicht so freundlich, aber sonst passte es super. Das Frühstück war absolut top und die Lage ist sehr gut. Gleich bei der U6, man ist in Kürze im Stadion, es gibt ein günstiges P&R für 2€/24h auch gleich dort, also richtig gut und der englische Garten ist auch nicht weit entfernt. Auch zum Marienplatz fährt man nur ein paar Stationen, dauert nicht lange und es gibt auch einen Bus, der fast direkt vor dem Hotel hält. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Was für eine unfreundliche Dame an der Rezeption. Ist die zur Abschreckung der Gäste da? Dann ist es gelungen. Da bedarf es dringend an einer Schulung. Gleich schlechte Stimmung beim Einchecken. Würde das Plaza Premium nicht mehr buchen.
