Z of Phnom Penh chose the Marriott in Petra after a deeply debated tl”Top 5 YouTube Petra Hotels” clip. We arrived on a road with absolutely no bumps, and were greeted by the friendliest concierge, the friendliest hotel manager, the friendliest waiter, and the friendliest chef. Immediately we ordered the ”Beef burger, no meat, just the bun please” and the chef nodded silently and understood our needs. The kids amazingly ate lunch free, so they had more time to Switch on, Vapow! In the evening, we looked for the green flash overlooking the majestic Petra mountains after a cool dip. For dinner, Sadly, Caramello and Nede didn't make it, but the Mandi was amazing. Kids again ate free, as did a little cat in exchange for a few scratches. 6 months is justified, as by now, it's all about the principle. We all agreed So in the end, it wasn't just the personal welcome message on the TV in the room that justified Z's decision, but the phenomenal kindness of the staff, ”You're Welcome!”
An unforgettable experience at H Luxury Hotel in the heart of Petra! From the very first moment, the staff welcomed us with smiles and genuine attention to our comfort. The rooms were spotless and equipped with all modern amenities, featuring elegant decor that adds a touch of luxury. The location is perfect, close to the archaeological sites, making it easy and quick to access ancient Petra. Breakfast was delicious and varied, with breathtaking mountain views. Thank you to the H Luxury team for making our stay so memorable – I’ll definitely be coming back!
Clean and comfortable. We had a nice spacious room on the 8th floor that had views over the town. Staff were friendly. Restaurant had standard breakfast and dinner fare, ok, but nothing that stood out. Perhaps the best feature is that it's only a minute's walk away from the visitors centre, from where you enter the ancient Petra site. Old Street Restaurant in the lane just outside the hotel is great.
The hotel looks very nice. The hotel staff is very friendly!
This hotel is located in a corner of slightly uphill, so even you stayed in the outdoor restaurant, you can get a very nice view to the Petra surrounded areas.
In terms of location, it’s just 5 minutes drive to the Petra city entrance.
And the value for money is very high for this hotel too. I highly highly recommend to other travellers!
If you go to Petra then you must stay at Tetra Tree Hotel! It's a 5-minute drive or 30-minute walk up (20 minutes down) the hill from the main entrance to Petra. The views from the rooms and the roof top restaurant are spectacular! You're overlooking the town and Petra itself. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and have everything you'll need. Hussam, the manager, is extremely nice, responsive and helpful.
RRobstaLondonStayed at this hotel for 2 nights as we were visiting Petra as part of our tour in Jordan. Unfortunately due to the troubles being experienced in the Middle East regions, Jordan is taking a major hit with tourism. Petra is certainly a victim of this. Tourists were very hard to come across, I would say almost 90% below what it would have been in August last year. Nevertheless, this hotel did its best to service and take care of their customers as best as it could. Despite being very quite, the hotel was clean, the rooms were of a good standard and very, close to the main entrance of Petra gate. I think this hotel was actually built into the sides of the mountain walls of Petra. The breakfast was OK. We had it twice and it was buffer style. Both times we had breakfast we were the only ones dining. So you can imagine not many options to choose from. I would suggest under the current climate, maybe offer Ala Carte breakfast options rather then buffet. I really do hope tourism improves in Jordan, especially Petra. It's a amazing place to visit and this hotel is in the perfect location. I wish them the very best for the future.
We stayed here a few days ago for 2 nights while visiting Petra. The staff were extremely warm and welcoming, explaining about the area and the best way to see Petra. There was an older gentleman behind reception who was superb, he asked us if the music was at the correct volume during our breakfast, and he arranged a breakfast box for us to take out for the day. The young waiter at breakfast was also extremely polite and helped with anything we wanted. The bed is extremely comfy and AC just right. Staff were always cleaning the floors and reception area. They even leave complimentary chocolate wafers, nuts, cokes and water in the room. They also gave us a keyring when we left which was a really kind touch. All round, great stay with the most welcoming staff. I recommend this hotel!
First of all, the exterior of this hotel has such a vibe and aesthetically pleasing. I like the concept of how everything you need in a city is clumped up into one location. The dinner (which is a buffet style) is sooo good. I didn't have breakfast and they also have a lunch box where you can take snacks when visiting inside Petra. They also have an amazing view of the rooftop and offer drinks as well. I didn't even attempt to explore the city to find restaurants or cafes. The room that I have was a typical bed sharing hostel but the attached bathroom is a new experience for me as I don't need to share with more people other than my 3 other roommates. The staff are AMAZING! Every single one of them. They helped me to book a bus going to the next city, to save time and money by giving tips and tricks on how to visit Petra efficiently. What I didn't like was the hike going up and down from the hotel to Petra is quite tiring but if you have a car it will be helpful. But for me, it didn't bother me. It's like a pre-workout before walking and exploring Petra so that's great I guess.
