Definitely worth every penny. Will absolutely recommend to anyone planning a relaxing day at Huaqing (and/or intending to visit the Terracotta Warriors). Regrettably we did not spend enough time (only an overnight stay). To truly appreciate the hot spring, would suggest 2 nights if time permits, so as to really make full use of the hotel facilities.
We visited on the last day of the performance for the outdoor show - The Song of Everlasting Sorrow (长恨歌). Tickets were organized through the hotel concierge. Best to ask for middle section to the back so you have full view of the huge stage (including the actual mountain as the backdrop). The hotel organizes meet-up and then a slow stroll into the garden and then back to the hotel.
If you plan to use the public hot spring, bring a swimsuit.
Stunning hotel. Just do it.

The inner garden village where Baishi Yunju is located was originally the "Han Imperial Sukuyuan" and was part of the upper forest garden of the Han Dynasty. In the third year of the founding of the Han Dynasty, Emperor Liu Che expanded the Han Dynasty Royal Shanglin Garden on the basis of the Shanglin Garden of the Qin Dynasty, with a magnificent scale and a hundred miles in length, with 5 plateaus, 8 waters, 11 pools, 12 palaces, 25 views and 36 gardens, of which this place is one of the 36 gardens, "Imperial Suyuan". In the twenty-first year of Tang Zhenguan, Emperor Taizong of Tang, Li Shimin, ordered Yan Lide to re-expand and repair the original Taihe Palace, and named it Cuiwei Palace. And surrounded by a large foothill north of Cuiwei Palace to form the Royal Forbidden Garden, called "Inner Garden", also known as Cuiwei Palace Lower Garden. The village was originally related to the imperial temple and theater building, which was changed to a private school during the Republic of China, and after liberation, it was an elementary school, with rich piers, curved cornices, carved plant and animal patterns, thick mountain flowers at the tip of the mountain, and flower-shaped iron nails fixed between the Bofeng bricks; There is also an immovable cultural relic An Clan Ancestral Hall, which is used as a Buddhist hall. MMARYIAMThe hotel is wonderful, I recommend it! Service at a very good level, very attentive and friendly staff. Rooms are spacious, cosy, beautiful panoramic view. OOxanaDammI traveled with my mom. We wanted to see the Terracotta Army. We had a very modern room in a calm street, close to the Terracotta Army (it is a 10 minute walk away). The girl, I am not sure who she was, I think she was an owner. A very friendly girl! ❤️By check in she walked us to show where we could eat Chinese food and by check out she showed us the way to go out of the district. Highly recommended!
TTLCalitzThe staff were helpful, since we arrived late and had to store our luggage there the next day. The location is good because you can walk to the Terracotta Warriors. It’s not spotless, but for a short stay and for the price, it’s a bargain.
