Live in the mountains, live in a tea garden. Huazhou · Lushan Yishan Yishu Homestay is tucked away in the Cloud and Mist Tea Village at the foot of Lushan Mountain. Open the door to a view of the mountains, turn around and you're greeted by tea plantations — every day is immersed in the natural fragrance of the tea leaves.
At the entrance of the homestay, there is a clear blue pool. On a hot summer day, taking a swim in this crystal-clear pool water is an incredibly luxurious pleasure — the cool mountain spring water caresses your skin, with blue sky and white clouds above, and green mountains surrounding you. This feeling of comfort can only be truly appreciated by experiencing it yourself.
Behind the pool, there is a small mountain trail. A mere three-minute climb allows you to ascend to a vantage point where the vast, misty expanse of Poyang Lake comes into full view. Standing halfway up the mountain, the lake and mountain scenery reflect off each other, and your heart and mind suddenly feel opened up and clear.
This tea village is famous for Lushan Cloud and Mist Tea. The tea plantations stretching across the mountains nurture the promise of this land. Within the village, there are not only farm stays and homestays, but also a bookstore, a Time Garden, and several trendy internet-famous cafes. And the owner's cafe happens to be the most popular one of them all — a good cup of coffee paired with a window view of the mountain scenery is enough to while away a leisurely afternoon.
The recreational resources around the homestay are so abundant that you won't want to leave. A ten-plus-minute walk will take you to the Bilongtan Scenic Area, where you can enjoy wading in streams and cooling off in the summer. Nearby, there are various picking gardens for grapes, persimmons, loquats, and more, offering the fragrance of fruit in every season. In the summer, there are also rafting activities that are both exciting and refreshing. A twenty-plus-minute drive will bring you to Lushan's famous Sandiequan Waterfall; in thirty minutes you can reach Xiufeng; and in about half an hour, you can arrive at Poyang Lake to watch birds in graceful flight against a seamless horizon of water and sky. Behind the homestay, you can dig for bamboo shoots and pick wild raspberries, experiencing the joys of the mountain wilderness. Staying here, even for several days, you will never feel bored.
It is worth mentioning that the homestay just opened this year, with completely new and complete facilities. Because it was originally intended for the owner's own residence, the renovation materials were all chosen with great care — the rooms are spacious and bright, with excellent natural lighting, and every detail reflects genuine thoughtfulness. The homestay is also equipped with self-service laundry facilities and electric vehicle charging stations, which is especially convenient for self-driving or long-stay guests.
Lushan is a famous summer retreat, and staying at Yishan Yishu means staying deep within that coolness. In summer, Lushan is pleasantly cool and comfortable. Spending a few days here feels like discovering a hidden gem of a summer refuge.
The owner is also exceptionally warm and welcoming, making guests feel truly cared for. Although I didn't have time to try the homestay's farmhouse cuisine this time, the sincere and unpretentious hospitality has already left me looking forward to it — next time, I will definitely make up for that meal.
Huazhou · Lushan Yishan Yishu Homestay is more than just a place to stay; it is a way of experiencing mountain living. If you also yearn for tea-covered hills and emerald waters, long for a cool summer escape, and desire a trip where you won't want to leave once you've settled in, then this place is worth making a special trip for.
