We were shocked when we first arrived at the hotel. The hotel is small but centrally located. However, our trip was ruined when the woman at reception/check-in did not speak ANY English at all. We just kinda guessed everything. Asked about breakfast, no response, asked about Taxi, no response, asked about food recommendations, no response... In the evening, there was guest arguing with the evening individual who worked reception and I could not squeeze in a chance to get ay questions in. Lastly, the front desk is only for limited hours, so if you stay out past that time, you would need to input the code into the keypad, which did not work everytime. Room was large and decent. Elevator was small and I would not stay there again.
The location of the hotel on the Rambla is excellent. The room service and at the reception are very kind and help a lot. The location is close to the old city, you can walk. The hotel is in the Palermo neighborhood, a cute neighborhood, kind and helpful people

Stayed in the hotel for two weeks. The hotel's location is perfect. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they helped me in everything I needed. The room is comfortable and clean, as well as the whole hotel.
This hotel was very disappointing for me and my wife. Looking at the pictures and the previous reviews, I really thought we would stay in a great hotel, but the reality was different. We did the reservation for a standard room, the pictures don't show how small they are. The room that they gave us was on the 2nd floor, and the window was direct to a central air conditioning machine (I suppose it is). It's a big machine, terrible view, but also terrible noise. They turn it off at 6:30pm, and turn it on at 08:30am. If you want to sleep in it is impossible, or if you want to take a nap in the afternoon, impossible too. Besides that there is a door in the room, to the next room, it's obviously closed, but you can hear everything from your neighborhood. The bathroom is ok, towels are good and clean. But when you take a shower the floor gets all wet, even with the box close, it's probably some leak. We stayed for four nights, and in two of then the air conditioning was not working. We called the reception and the answer was that they would have to call a technician, to repair it. They fixed, but in the next day it was broken again. Fortunately the weather was not so cold, and it was possible to leave the window opened, but we we had to deal with the noise coming from outside. We asked to change for a better room as soon as we arrived. But the receptionist said the hotel was full, and that in the next day they would have a free room, in a superior category, but it was necessary to pay the difference to the upgrade. We said that we have the gold benefit from **********, and this update would be for free for us. As soon as we told about the benefit, they tell us that we need to wait for the next day and see if the room would be still available, but, of course, it wasn't free anymore. Although the location of the hotel is good, we definitely wouldn't like to stay there anymore.
NNeal RMy stay at the SORO Montevideo, Curio Collection by Hilton was perfect in every way. From the time the friendly staff at the front desk greeted me at check-in, to the time they said good-bye at check-out, everything was perfect. The room was beautiful and well-appointed and decorated, wi-fi and the fitness center were top-notch, and the breakfast was great (I didn't eat any other meals at the restaurant). The location of the hotel, across the street from the Rambla, easy walking distance to many shops and restaurants, is ideal for tourism and business. At the SORO you get the charm of a boutique hotel with the benefits of the Hilton Honors program. I know that whenever I am in Montevideo, the SORO will be my first choice of where to stay.
ผผู้เข้าพักPonto positivo: localização.
EEJ9Everything was excellent. We were very well received by hotel staff, and the restaurant is absolutely fantastic. Rooms are somewhat old-fashioned but were cleaned every day and the bed was very comfortable. We hope to visit again soon!
Our visit to Uruguay was for watching rugby in their national stadium USA v Uruguay and Chile u18’s. We checked in at the Aloft Montevideo for two nights and cannot fault the place. The rooms are good size, beds super comfortable, breakfast amazing, bar pretty good but the staff are the key. Reception desk Diego Florencia & Ziara Joaquin could not do enough to help us. Thank you🙏🏻🙏🏻. I would happily come back to this hotel again. Great job guys. 👍
As a Canadian traveler with large family, this boutique hotel in central Montevideo was one of the finest places I have stayed at. The front lobby staff (especially Laura) were incredibly helpful and English was very good. They are available on whatsapp to answer questions prior to your visit. The roof top breakfast dining was really great spread with hot meals. The location is generally safe and walking distance to the central commercial district. The famous Palacio Salvo and Plaza Independencia are a block away. Lots of eateries (Americano Cafe really good), pharmacies, laundry, and convenience stores. The history of revitilzation of this hotel reminded me of the incredible boutique hotels of Queen St W in Toronto (a bit like Drake Hotel with a more family feel). The rooms are not large as it is an older building conversion but offers a comfortable and clean upgrade.
