Awful service - this hotel is not worthy of even 1 star. Their staff are not trained properly and ruined our stay in Montevideo, don’t waste your money here there are plenty of better and cheaper hotels available. 1) The hotel lost our booking and blamed it on us, making us wait 30 mins at reception at 10pm at night for our room 2) The window in our room was broken, we informed them in the morning and when we came back to the hotel that evening we were informed we couldn’t open the window and it was slightly fixed but they would fix it tomorrow (no offer of compensation or apology) 3. The reception staff repeatedly ignored our phone calls when we were trying to clarify the room bill (I called at 15 min intervals for 1 hour so it was obvious they weren’t picking up our room) - never in all the hotels I have stayed at around the world have reception staff repeatedly ignored a room call, it is the worst service possible 4. They tried to charge us more than was originally agreed for our room at checkout and nearly made us miss our flight I have stayed in hotels all across South America and this was the worst service I have ever received - do yourself a favour and save the headache of the poorly trained staff and book another hotel.

Localizado em Punta Carretas, pertinho do Shopping, cafés, restaurantes, próximo da orla, o Hotel atende bem para ficar poucos dias, ficamos na suíte Júnior que é bem grande, cama confortável, banheiro muito bom, tem um terraço enorme com uma bela Vista do Rio. Staff muito bom, só o café da manhã que deixa a desejar pelo preço da diária, muito básico!!!

This hotel is ideally located to walk to the central (shopping) and old historic parts of the city. It is also a short walk from the coastal ”rambla”cycle and promenade. Reasonably priced restaurant / bar and breakfast service - comes with 22% discount if you pay with a non-Uruguayan credit card (as do all restaurant in Uruguay). We had nice big room on an upper floor with views over the Rio de la Plata and the sunset (but only top floor rooms have balcony - you can access the rooftop terrace but there is not much there other than the view). Reception very helpful in organizing visits, taxis and bike hire (these are available on site). Only slight criticism was location of air conditioning in large rooms meant we didn't benefit from it in the sleeping area and, during a very hot spell, this was a problem. Would recommend staying here.

As I checked in last Monday at the Aloft, Tobias Bradley, one of the Front Desk Managers, noticed it was my birthday. From then on, he made my stay, a very special one. When you’re away from home on a special occasion, it could feel very lonely, so, every single detail, was greatly appreciated. I also want to thank the rest of the staff, specially, Gustavo, at the restaurant, who always had a warm smile and a kind gesture. In addition, this hotel has a perfect location, in an upscale area at Punta Carretas, practically next to a big shopping mall, surrounded by great gastronomy, and a block away from Rio de la Plata. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for such a wonderful experience. I recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.

With a privileged beachfront location on Pocitos Beach, Ermitage is set in a stylish renovated building from 1945. There is a spacious terrace with a seating area overlooking the palm trees.Ermitage Hotel features elegant décor in traditional 4-star fashion. Rooms are styled in cream-coloured shades and soft beige, and are fully carpeted. Some rooms have views of the beach or Montevideo city.Rooms are bright and spacious, and feature cable TV, air conditioning and minibars. All rooms include modern bathrooms and some of them have baths.A buffet breakfast is served daily with fresh juices and regional jams. The bar offers snacks throughout the day and there is room service. Guests can also enjoy breakfast in the room.The 24-hour front desk and tour desk can assist guests with tourist information. Punta Carretas Shopping and the Naval Museum are 1 km away.The major bus stops are 1 block away and Carrasco International Airport is 14 km from the hotel. Car rental is possible.
