Marina del Mar Hotel

It was amazing just feet from the beach. The only challenge at this hotel is there’s no elevators or escalators be prepared to use the stairs …great workout

I love the place staff was really friendly, breakfast was really good. I didn't like that the bathroom had no door and we were 4 people, the place is under remodeling at this moment, but staff was so nice that it wasn't a big issue.

Well first I will compliment the hotel for having a pleasant staff in the restaurant and lobby. Also they presented us a clean room. But now I have to speak of the negatives. 1. The swimming pool was cloudy. I told the front lobby the pool had problems since you couldnt see the bottom. It was cloudy. That was the first day on the deep end. But on second day even the shallow side was cloudy. The staff excused it as not a problem. When a foreigner, who has experience with swimming pools tells you there’s something wrong, the staff should be responsible enough to see what the problem is. I could tell the problem was most likely because they were not turning on the pump to the swimming pool and possibly the filter was clogged. So we did not use the swimming pool. 2. They advertised a king bed and we got a queen instead. 3. They said our room had an ocien view. Only if they cut the trees back properly. 4. If you are there for some peace and quiet, forget about it. If I was the owner of the hotel, I would have very strong and demanding words with the local politicians, as well as the bar owners outside. The noise level was horrible, especially at night and continued till about 2 o’clock in the morning with someone setting off fire works. The locals are loud and obnoxious with their music loudness competition. If you are there for the big party life and sleeping till late the next morning, it’s perfect. But if you want rest, I would recommend Wyndham Hotel.

I was there last year and it was pretty ok for the price. This year was awful. Bathroom disgusting Bed was horrible no hot water even once and they didn’t care.

The beach in front is all rocks. The water smells. The hotel is desperately in need of renovation. Loud dominican music until 11pm every day right in front of the hotel. The pool was green. Nothing at all to do there

The property was not be expected, lot's of cats in restaurant area.

Was a good stay… I would cone back. Good service.
