Hantara Udawalawa

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Accomodation finish quite basic, but everything you need and good air con. Outdoor shower was great felt very unusual, and the views out to the trees are gorgeous. Staff were excellent hosts, very helpful and hospitable, and helped out with plans and safari etc. Food was quite basic but delicious. Loved the lodge in a rainforest vibes, would highly recommend for a stay before a Udawalawe safari, but make sure to stay 2 nights so you can wake up to the sound of wildlife and have breakfast on your balcony on the day you’re not upnearly for the safari. Best place I stayed in Sri Lanka, and good price as well!

We were so happy with this property. It is nice, fun, and clean. The perfect spot close to the park for a safari. The staff is very attentive and super nice! The food was fantastic! If you're going to be in the area you would do well to stay at this small, locally owned, experience!

Beautiful place in the middle of Jungle. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good great! My 2. time in Uduwalawe and my favorite one. Distance to the Park very short. If you make the Safari tour early in the morning you can have late breakfast which is very relaxing. Nice clean and big room with wonderful chill outside. The open bathroom is the highlight. The place is nature and relax.

Our experience in Hantara Udawalawe was amazing thanks to the staff. We want to give a special mention to Charith and Amila who were so friendly, kind and make us feel at home. This place is so nice and very calm, perfect to relax in nature, enjoy the silence and go for a safari in Udawalawe National Park. The hotel arranged everything so the jeep picked us up very early in the morning to have a 3 hours tour. We highly recommend it!

I selected Hantara udawalawe for 1 night stay. From the welcoming till departure they done the perfect services. Large room with rain shower I really like to stay one more day. Next time I will select Hantara for long stay. Foods and drinks excellent. Very calm full location. Had a lovely stay here. Treated like royalty. The staff could not do enough to ensure I had a good stay. Food was delicious, as were the mocktails. Room was lovely and big, air on worked well and enjoyed the outside private bathroom.

Beautiful spot to stay if you are doing a safari in Udawalawe. Excellent service, good dinner, really nice rooms with outdoor showers.
