Expedition Lodge

Very fun place to stay during our Feb 2024 weekend trip. The pool is open all winter and the water and water slide are warm and everyone was having a great time. Breakfast was wonderful and checkin was super quick and smooth. We were very happy

Don’t let the fact this is a motel give you the impression it’s not a place to stay. Clean, convenient location, and spacious rooms.

Very fun atmosphere especially with kids. Very affordable and accommodating. Highly recommended

We had two nights here, while visiting the National Parks on Moab's doorstep. Very pleased for the most part. Check-in was smooth. It is laid out in a motel style, so access to your room is from the outside. The room was clean and spacious. I especially liked the styling of this property... It embraced it's name and stuck to a retro theme. I was surprised to see the outdoor pool remained open (other guests were using it) even in January. The property is well situated for day trips and dining, with lots of options right there. Parking is free on site but I can imagine it would get full in peak season, albeit roadside parking looked to also be free. I've held off giving 5 stars for two reasons: 1) The water was shut off entirely due to an issue one morning, for a short spell. I understand things happen but it would have been good to notify guests. 2) The anti-slip bathmat had clearly never been cleaned under. A corner folded back while I was washing and there was significant mold build up. Again, easily overlooked but worth mentioning, as the rest of the place was spotless. There was a loud argument on-site one night too but this can happen anywhere, and I didn't get the sense that it spoke to the neighbourhood at all. When we ate out, the streets seemed peaceful and other patrons and staff seemed friendly.

The staff was exceedingly helpful! Incredibly festive property-decorated for the holiday (including a little Elf on the Shelf). The rooms were very clean and offered great amenities. Would absolutely stay here again!

Our family stayed here for 2 nights and found it fantastic. The included breakfast spread had a good range of choices, our boys had a blast on the free arcade machines while we were packing up, and much fun was had on the waterslide while the adults enjoyed the hot tub. Great location, with an easy drive to the nearby national parks and plenty of parking available. We hope to visit again!

I chose this place because there was no extra charge for dogs. The room was large, the breakfast was good and the accommodation was on the side of the road so it was easy to get to. One thing that was bad was the bad smell coming from the shower curtain. If it wasn't for that, I would have had much better memories.

Loved their special touch and sense of humor. We stayed on Christmas Eve and they had an awesome hot cocoa bar in lobby and little treats. Very festive and fun. Slept great.

My family loved this motel. We were just stopping in for the night but the room was comfortable. The lobby, breakfast area, and exterior were decorated for Christmas, which was wonderful. The staff were friendly and helpful when we had an issue with the heat in our room.
