Residence Pierre & Vacances Premium les Crets

There are many ski villages in Les3Valles where you can stay. We love Meribel Mottaret where it is comparatively quiet (not the busiest) and reasonably convenient. Les Crets is run by Pierre & Vacances which is honestly pricy (may be because we booked late) but overall a good stay. The apar**ent is not located in the village center but very convenient because of the round the clock funicular connection. Luckily, the funicular worked smoothly for our 1-week stay. Everything you have is good: the private carpark (paid), the ski room, the ski out access (only for intermediate skiers and above, the reception, the room, its views and facilities. The only issue is the hot water supply which is normal for most of the time. Just when it comes to the peak hours (like morning time when all skiers are rushed to go out), the hot water is not really hot and requires some wait. Overall, we have an excellent and enjoyable stay in Les Crets!

Appartement and location were very good overall. It’s ski in ski on a popular run so that’s great. The checkout procedure really lets the whole experience down and hurried they ask you to remove all bed linen and towels and place them in bags outside of the door on top of cleaning the kitchen and removing rubbish. If the cleaners are changing bed linen they can already remove it. They want you out prior to 10am after all this is done.

We stayed at Les Crêts with my parents and my young children right after the school holidays. The appartements were ok albeit could have been cleaner. The residence is solely dependent on a lift to get customers to the pistes, children ski classes, shops and restaurants. The lift broke down half way through our stay and wasn’t repaired for 4 days. The staff did not care one bit and refused to arrange shuttle transfers. We had to walk down and up an icy road with no pavement throughout carrying kids and skis for 20 min each way for 3 full days. No compensation was given. Avoid at all cost.

We stayed in pierre & vacances Le Tueda previously and this time opted for a larger premium accommodation at Les Crets for our family of four. This flat had three bedrooms and two bathrooms and was pretty spacious for this style accommodation. We stayed in room D124 which although on ground floor was close to boot room which stepped straight on to a short path to the piste, and also had easy access to the ground floor drop off for luggage & arrivals. You can ski-in out of this place via red run Aigle which during our stay was usually in poor condition by the end of the day (its one of the major arterial runs connecting couchevel-meribel and has heavy traffic). Access can be gained to the accommodation by a dedicated lift but this was out of order on a least 3 separate occasions during our visit this time ( and also previously) . It's not a major problem unless you have little ones or others that can't ski reds and need to carry ski gear back up the road if the lift is out of order. We found the reception staff to be very friendly & professional and very tolerant of out pathetic attempts at French speaking. Some aspects of the rooms were a bit tired ( door knobs all need tightening for starters!) and a DVD player would have been handy for evenings when we didn't eat out. I didn't like the way P&V dealt with us following our booking during the covid closure (2020) and i was reluctant to re-book with P&V as a result. However, this time we had a great family holiday & I would stay at les crets again.

Has a wonderful time in Les Crets, can’t rate these accommodation enough . Having been to mottaret 5x , always taking accommodation this side of mottaret . These apar**ents were a little more than we would normally spend ,but the apar**ent was great . The staff were so obliging and couldn’t do enough , so thank you . They rang prior to the holiday to see if we had questions , I just happened to mention if we could stay Mont Vallon side for my favourite view and they couldn’t be more helpful . We had a beautiful apar**ent with a fantastic view ( room 102) . I like staying near the lake for my daily walk around it making the first tracks in the groomed trail . It is so near and such a beautiful walk . The funicular that takes you to the accommodation was always working , ( never had problems in the 5x of visiting the area ) , and everything is so convenient . Will definitely stay here again .

It was a good stay. The apar**ent is well appointed and generally it is clean. What I find surprising is that we were asked to clean the kitchen, remove bed sheets and towels ourselves at departure. None of these requirements were stated in the booking. The reception staff were nice and efficient, but the experience was slightly spoiled at departure when the reception manager was rather impolite and had a bit of an attitude.

Great place to stay with family. Very cosy, warm welcoming. Ski rentals and food shop, restaurants down the lift ( from the property).

Internal parking too expensive. You should park for free down the gondola. Apar**ent equipment is perfect (especially in the kitchen). The residence since it’s premium, misses some comfort as sauna or swimming pool or this kind of facilities that are suitable after a ski day

Excellent rooms and location . Spot on and thoroughly enjoyed it
