We stayed in the suite. Was very spacious , clean and cozy. Very close to downtown (walking distance). I will stay again!

Great stay. Stayed in the Generals suite which was in the converted carriage house. Very hilly making walking to downtown and back sporty at least.

It's a cool looking place. Friendly and welcoming staff. I felt like our room was kind of musty and the best and pillow weren't the most comfortable. There are nice porches and balconies to sit out on in nice weather. And you can easily walk to Main Street if you don't mind a million stairs. It's an old place so there aren't a lot of outlets for your devices.

Liked for all the reasons noted above.
Disliked due to difficulty finding the property. On-line maps from website very poor. Once in the Galena area, little to no cell service available to get directions from Google Maps. Frustrating!

We enjoyed our overnight for our anniversary. The staff was very professional and accommodating. We had a plumbing issue and they resolved it while we were at dinner. Breakfast was delightful. We enjoyed the Blackhawk room.
