I don't recommend the hotel, the swimming pools both are dirty lots of insects in the water, the jacuzzi cold water n dirty too. One can hear lots of noises at night if you are lucky you won't get those rooms it looks like mauritians who get those noisy room as at night you can hear the noise of air con or pump water machine. If you take some dried grapes after breakfast to eat in the terrace you will be told not to take where as I have seen other guests took plate of food. They don't give tea or coffee in the bedrooms but just kettle n cups. The only good thing is the room is clean but they won't clean it everyday. They put very few food for breakfast one can count 15 pieces on the plate and when finished they will replenished it. I didn't feel comfortable during my stay as while I eat my breakfast I can feel them monitoring me. The pictures of the pools have deceived me and my family. More customer service are needed in this place too. The only person who helped me was sanjeev for lifting my luggage when I came to the rooms. I did ask if they serve food at night they said no but I saw guests eating at night and every night I have to take my parents to eat in restaurants which is far from the beach. They do give shuttle car but on some hours and I had to take taxi sometimes.

On my first night at dinner, I felt treated poorly because I was dining alone. There was no communication about how the buffet worked, nor was I asked about any food intolerances, while couples around me were given clear options and information. This left me feeling overlooked and disappointed. I would like to commend the exceptional housekeeping provided by Reetoo. She is a lovely, sincere, hardworking lady. However, on the night she was not assigned to my villa, her replacement left a wet bath mat instead of replacing it, and on my last day, no bottles of water were replenished, which again falls short of expectations for a 5-star resort. Most concerning was my experience with the receptionist on my last night. After a long day out, having just returned—and she was fully aware of this—she called my villa to ask for my flight number. I explained my situation, stating that I had just walked in, and asked if I could wash my hands first. When I called back with the information, she asked if I had sorted out my transfer. I was confused by this line of questioning and confirmed that I was flying home. She then insisted on checking me out by midday, which I was already aware of. I asked if I had requested a late check-out, feeling increasingly frustrated. It felt like an interrogation. I requested to speak to a manager but was directed to the food and beverage manager instead. I asked him to inform the resort manager that I wanted to discuss my concerns in the morning due to the poor customer service. However, there were positives to note. The manager, Manoj, and his colleague, Geraldine, along with Reetoo and Kavi, truly tried to make up for the lack of customer service. A senior waiter in a black shirt working nights (apologies for not remembering his name) also provided attentive service. There were a few other members of staff; apologies for not remembering all their names. Sadly, despite these efforts, the overall experience at this 5-star resort did not meet our expectations, and we are uncertain if we would recommend our stay. We are well aware of other 5-star hotels and resorts that truly meet and exceed the standards associated with such ratings.
We stayed for 10 nights at the Lagoon Attitude at the beginning of September to celebrate our honeymoon and we are so pleased with our choice - the resort is a real slice of paradise. Upon arrival we were met with a welcome drink and cold towel which after 12 hours of travelling was welcome and the staff explained the resort to us. We could immediately start using the facilities and by early afternoon we were shown to our suite which was well appointed and had a bottle of champagne waiting for us which was a lovely touch. The main restaurant had a great selection and a different theme most nights, we particularly enjoyed the Creole night and Chinese. We also ate at the three al-la-carte restaurants as well as the ”street food” lunch area which was delicious and a great opportunity to try new and local Mauritian delicacies. Our favourite restaurant was Coral, where we were also spoilt with a special honeymoon dinner which made our experience memorable, and we also used the spa twice and had great service from the ladies there where we each had a full body massage and a facial. The only negative element to feed back from our experience was on one Saturday night during our stay when the resort hosted a Mauritian Party night - it wasn't communicated to us at check-in and we had a note on the door on the day telling us it would be until 10.30pm, but the music went on until 11 and was really loud - we'd chosen the resort specifically as we're not party animals and it had a relaxing vibe and it took the shine off slightly - although we didn't let it ruin our otherwise overwhelmingly positive experience, and we would love to return one day in the future.
A small boutique hotel, it might be unnoticeable from the outside, the inside containing 36 rooms with its delightful peacefulness & tranquility in lush tropical gardens. You are made so welcome from all the staff, some have become good friends. We stayed in room 34 for 12 nights, arriving on Monday 9th September. The staff are always so friendly yet professional. Special mention to Oumesh (room Divisional manager), who always greeted us, we spoke on numerous occasions. The concierge team- Micheal, friendly yet professional, gave us great knowledge on the local area & when asked suggested local speciality restaurants. Isaaq, again so friendly & helpful, he would always acknowledge us on seeing us. Also thank you to Jessica & Francesca for all their help. Food & beverage - Lamal, competent, efficient & experienced, knowing our food preferences & allergies, very professional at his job. The restaurant- food is excellent, plates are served with ”Flair”, tasting as good as they look. Special mention to the Patisserie chef, your deserts & afternoon tea gateaux's were the high-light of the kitchen in my opinion. (after tea served daily 4.00 - 5.00pm). Denis, always with a smile & cheerful attitude, made us laugh so much, whilst doing his daily tasks with skill & expertise. Make sure you book in advance the evening Gourmet cruise on Lady Lisbeth Yacht, with exceptional 5-6 course dishes, expertly served at your table by Denis our waiter. If you have a special occasion, Birthday, Anniversary or just a great evening, please note there is only availability for up to 8 persons per cruise, booking is a must. Also special thanks to Lindley Thomen, who took special interest in making our holiday so special, your kindness & great customer service. Nearly forgot Trevor your Water-taxi driver, so thoughtful, helpful & kind, always made our many trips to & forth to Grand Baie so memorable. Would certainly recommend without hesitation this wonderful hotel. Thank you for a Great Holiday. Keith & Partner.
