Esprit d'Ici Hotel

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Upon arrival we wrestled greeted with welcome drink. We made a mistake while booking and needed to change for a bigger room, so manager did the best he can do and we got a very spacious room with a beautiful view to the sea and coconut hill. The place is very calm even it’s located by the main road, you don’t notice the noise..all hotel surrounded by the beautiful garden, close by you can see monkeys, land monitors, geckos, different birds. The pool is clean and refreshing, staff very friendly and helpful. Food at the restaurant is very tasty and prices are reasonable ☺️ at breakfast not too much selection, but just enough: friesh fruits, pancakes, fresh fried eggs, toasts, juice, coffee :) We used their laundry service, the clothes were nicely cleaned and folded 🙏 At the main hall theres plenty of activities such as pool tables, chess, darts, soccer table, book shelves..so you don’t get bored if you spend evenings at the hotel ☺️ Location is very convenient, 3 min walk to the beach where you can just chill around, rent equipment for snorkelling, take a guide to see turtles, climb a coconut hill, visit the small temple. To visit center you can either walk 10-15 min, or use a tuk tuk service that will take you anywhere you need. Rooms are spaciuos, clean, beds equipped with mosquito nets. All in all our stay was comfortable and fulfilled our expectations for the price they offer 🙏 And they gaved us a bottle of water when we were leaving to refresh on the way ☺️

This staff do all they can and more to make your stay really pleasent! We stayed two weeks and had a wonderful time. The rooms are lovely and the balcony is nice as well. The hotel is a tiny bit outside city center but that is actually nice. It is very ease to take a tuc tuc anywhere. The famous coconut tree hill is just opposite the hotel. The food at the hotel is amazing. It was always delicious. You can also have your food by the pool or in your room. There is a lovely area to relax.

Esprit D’Ici extended all our expectations. We were a big group of 35 people staying at the hotel and everything was better than we could have ever thought! The rooms, locations, restaurant was amazing and the lovely staff made it an unforgettable two weeks. Thank you so so much Zanka and the rest of the crew!

Made the mistake of booking the hotel next door and they had a party at Esprit all afternoon and until 2 am blasting out music at night club deafening levels from their open air rooftop. This sort of party hotel are ruining marissa and have no consideration for anyone else. Stop being so selfish. Checked out the next morning with my young family and found somewhere quieter along the coast.

Such a nice little hotel, with super nice deco & the sweetest staff..🇱🇰👍 So far we only had breakfast & it was prepared fresh & was very nice. The downstairs lounge is so cozy both during the night & day. The old designed furniture & all the plants gives the whole place a home-like feeling. The hotel is located next to the main road, but the noise isn't much due to trees & plants. The rooms are large & the rooms facing South (over the road/beach) are possibly a bit noiser, but I can't imagine it's a problem. We had a very large family room towards West with a view to beautiful trees & it was very quiet. Beds have large mozy nets installed at a frame & the beds are just great 👍🏾 The owner & the daily manager are so service friendly & it's just a nice place to be after travelling around Sri Lanka for 10 days..🇱🇰 We were planning to stay 2 days, but we settled for 4 days..😁😎 We feel home here....👍

It was a great experience. Service was excellent. Good food. Superb rooms. Enough things to do inside if it rains or if you prefer to stay out of the beach. Lovely atmosphere. Very supportive staff. Even with 3 generations of Grand Parents, Young Parents and Kids it was a great experience for each individual, irrespective of the age group. They have something for everyone. Unique and a different beach experience. (hotel does not have a beach front. but its just a 2 minutes walk.)

We stayed 2nights the the whole family group was 20 (ages 4-70) and they accommodated us really well. Rooms were ready when we arrived and any issues of the rooms they attended really fast. The service team was very attentive and helpful. We had a great time there were activities for all age groups. Beach was walking distance and very beautiful even though it was a few rainy and rough sea days. Chef was very accommodating and food was great, different varieties on different days. Thank you for the great time, keep up the great work.

This was our last of our 3 hotels in Sri Lanka and was the worst nights sleep we have ever had. It started around 3.30 pm whilst enjoying a peaceful afternoon on the sunbeds at the pool. The speaker (huge) was being tested for some ritual they were having that night (we were only told by the guy who checked us in (the manager was away) that there would be a Buddhist function, we thought that’s fine we are in Sri Lanka, but I’m writing this as we have had no sleep whatsoever it’s now 4.50am and the noise is horrendous, if we knew about this before we booked we would never have came here, we were stared at when we came back from our evening meal by the group of people who were at the function and were made to feel like we were trespassing and felt glared at and made to feel very uncomfortable. The noise is truly awful with the guy shouting on top of his voice all night, then drums played very loudly, it carries on all night. I’m all for culture etc that’s why we visited Sri Lanka but we deserve a sleep at least

This was the fourth time we stayed here and we were not disappointed.The rooms are clean and spacious,breakfast was very good and the staff were amazing,to the extent that the owner arranged for an item of lost property to be collected and returned to me three hours away. I would again highly recommend this hotel for location,cleanliness and value for money as well as being looked after by a great team of people.
